Not my first choice to replace Nuno, but then I don't own the club. If he gives an interview and mentions that one liner, I swear I'll custard pie him first chance I get!
'I always win something in the second year'!
He won stuff in Scotland, big deal, lots of decent teams to beat up there! Then he nearly gets Spurs relegated, but wins the Europa Cup - with lots of injured players! Excuse excuses!
09 Sep 2025 17:11:28
Marco silva would have been my first choice
Think the defence will have to get used to something different and think milenkovic is good enough to adapt think Murillo will suffer more.
09 Sep 2025 17:55:49
I suppose the jury is still out on this appointment and we'll all have to wait and see. My gut feeling is that there will be little 'middle ground' - I think we'll either be brilliant or awful.
09 Sep 2025 18:36:06
Well, back in Europe this year and a trophy next seaason guaranteed. Heady times folks!
09 Sep 2025 18:43:29
I'm not happy lego. Just saying bud. Not with the sacking of nuno. Just the appointment of thingy. Just being honest.
09 Sep 2025 18:43:43
One thing for sure, our football will be more attack based, totally opposite to Nuno. We'll have to wait and see, results are what matters. Just hope he'll lift his head up when being interviewed ?.
09 Sep 2025 18:50:24
I'm not worried at all
If results aren't good then it will be another coach
I think ange will deliver in style
Hes a driven individual that wants to win and prove a point to spurs.
09 Sep 2025 19:15:55
The names not thingy Bowie it's Ange
Poste no clue ?.
09 Sep 2025 19:17:46
Jesus wept DTP not the kiss of death already, from the predictions master. He ain't even hung is coat up yet ??.
09 Sep 2025 19:33:55
Not sure why everyone assumes he’ll play exactly the same way he did at spurs, he won the Europa league final with around 33% possession,
09 Sep 2025 19:41:23
Bowie - as usual, I/ we appreciate your honesty as in all of your posts mate. Personally though, I'm not too unhappy about the current situation. Nuno was brilliant for us, but 'every dog has his day'. As per Cooper.
I think Nuno had run out of steam. Whether or not he 'engineered' his departure or not is open to debate. One thing is for sure though - things never seemed to be the same after that debacle against Leeds.
Onto a new era again! I think the next chapter will be a roller-coaster.
09 Sep 2025 20:42:38
First thing I'd like to see from ange us drop sangare and play a midfield of Anderson, luiz and either MGW or Mcatee, also CHO on right wing and Ndoye left.
09 Sep 2025 20:48:53
Big Larry I'm a very positive person that doesn't look on the dark side of life
No point going to games if you think the worse scenario every time
Just being honest about ange if results don't go well and an easy prediction?
09 Sep 2025 20:53:26
Just ideas and took the money full stop lego. Way I am my friend, say it as what ya see. Got his pension.
09 Sep 2025 21:06:13
So basically he's not that nice after all?
09 Sep 2025 21:08:22
So dtp you all for thingy?
09 Sep 2025 21:40:26
I wasn't for nuno Bowie and first sux months wasn't good, but he turned it round
I'm not going to call him without seeing us play under him
I said I'd have sacked nuno fourteen months ago, but he proved me wrong, so wh8s to say ange won't prove the doubters wrong?
The big man had no choice in the end
He's already paying nuno off so not going to pay compo for glasner, silva or irola
All the blame lies with nuno as far as I'm concerned.
09 Sep 2025 22:15:50
I'm not totally convinced Nuno engineered his own downfall. I'm more inclined to think that after the Leeds debacle the guy just mentally said sod it - I'm off and I'm going to speak my mind whatever the consequences. It took a while to surface, but I think that was the turning point in his mind. I think that Edu and the delayed recruitment process just accelerated those feelings of discontent.
OK, the new contract would seem to have worked in Nuno's favour to us outsiders. However, none of us know the negotiated payout he received on leaving.
Personally, I have very mixed feelings on this. Hope springs eternal though Reds - we've been through a lot worse!
09 Sep 2025 22:37:48
I see super Cooper as found is limit in management bromby ???.
09 Sep 2025 22:54:56
Bit of Rodeo football, we'll be up then down and probably going to hit the ground, can't wait for the ride, bring on some Ange ball and let's see where it takes us. ?.
10 Sep 2025 02:09:50
One thing can guarantee we will concede more goals under Ange, hopefully he can work out how to score more goals with Anderson and MGW both not great in front of goal. Unfortunately nuno has engineered his escape on probably a nice handout, is a shame has came across really well and git the team to play as a unit bur he was one dimensional and I don't think he would of been able to do better this year as Mr m would have expected.
