I think Nuno will be pleased how his defence has performed, different players used and still keeping clean sheets, a positive. The attackers is a big problem, scoring goals breeds confidence even in friendlies and the longer it goes on the players will get a case of the "Bristows", snatching at shots, overthinking moves, blasting the ball instead of placing!. Nuno has got a conundrum to solve in the forwards, otherwise expect a lot of 0-0 games at the start of the season ?.

My take on the pre season is that we played a few teams who let us have the ball, it’s not our strength to play a possession based game we, don’t appear have the players of that quality at the moment, we sold one of the mainstays of our strengths in Elanga, and nuno has experimented with a 2 up or one and a half up front, and so far all it has done vis nullified the threat of wood, I will nail my colours to the mast now, I think this time next year Jesus will be back in Brazil. Just my opinion, In the premier league as a striker, you have to be either very strong and big, or lightning quick, he is neither, playing him alongside wood seems to confuse everything, , wood doesn’t make the same runs in and around the box, the defence seems ok but that was never a problem, of the 2 Brazilians cunha could be the gem, hope I’m wrong about his mate, it’ll be interesting to see who comes through the door,

Agree 100% Stevie f. Just as I said after the last pre-season game, he doesn't look fast enough or strong enough. He needs to put a lot of work in on the training field this week before the Brentford game (that's if he's up to it? ). Could be unfamiliar surroundings and settling in? Time will tell but he has to improve quickly.

Hopefully he'll come good.
We really need pace up front.

I'm not of the same opinion. I think the Jesus/ MGW/ Anderson
chain will work very well. I also think Aina's and William's crosses need someone agile but not too tall to get to the ball.
I have high hopes for Jesus, and Ndoye. Once our breakaways get more established from our solid defence they will benefit and so will those around them.

Bsered the only thing I will say is if wood doesn’t score around 20 goals we are in trouble, Jesus has never been prolific anywhere, and if we are trying to manufacture a place in the team for him, and at the same time disrupting what worked for wood last year, then for me we are mistaken, MGWAnd Elliot we’rent big contributors last season goal wise, and the jury has got to be out on Ndoye, he lacks Elangas raw pace, which was such a threat for us last year, for me Jesus and wood is an either / or, and if they’re both fit it has to be wood, who is completely proven in the league.

Spot on Stevie. Jesus or wood, no way it’s not the man who got 20 goals for us that starts.

Jesus and wood?
Knock knock on heavens door?
Great song ?.
