Didnt see the match and have only watched extended highlights and MOTDso I appreciate all the brilliant comments and posts on here about the game. Many thanks.
Just a few general points bearing in mind the above
Firstly, well done Nuno, man enough to admit he overthought the Fulham game and yesterday went back to basics, sound defence, well organised midfield, chances on the breakaways.
Secondly Munmad, mate, you didn't need to worry about Yatesy getting the run around by Palmer and getting sent off. However, as for JWP.
Thirdly, I'm not one to condone a fracas on the field of play but when one occurs it was great to see our lads fronting up and not taking a step backwards. Shows great team spirit imo and besides which we have some big intimidating players in there. I mean, would you mess with the Serbinator, Yatesy, Morato, Murillo?.
Lastly I said before the game I'd be over the moon with a point and we nearly nicked all 3.
Also brilliant defensive discipline, great work by Sels and his mates and we conceded only one goal against a team who have scored 28 this season despite playing for 25 mins with 10 men!
Just brilliant stuff ?????????COYR!
PS shout out to Woody, keeps popping them in.

Stokey, like you I've only seen the highlights and I agree, the one thing that really stood out for me was our reaction to the " handbags situation".
We didn't take a step back. Straight in there and Full on support and protect your team mates. I assume we will end up getting a fine but it will do wonders for team spirit.

Yes the team spirit is definitely there wouldn't say that was the one thing that stood out though the fact they went down to 10 men and played like 12 without the backing of the home crowd stood out to me.

All the plaudits should go to Nuno and the team for Saturdays result. Entertaining football is what we all crave for from the Reds and Nuno and his players have given us such. No holding back after it became 1-1 even still attacking with 10. Some results will go against us, players maybe injured but as long as we carry on playing this way, there will be no complaints from me. A big shout also for the away fans who out sung the Chelsea fans throughput.

I think Stokey and Gazz are way too law-abiding! Get yourselves a 'dodgy stick' guys and you can watch all of Forest's games live plus any other EPL game you want to watch. I pay £60 / year.
I know that some people are put off by the thought of 'buffering'. However, I've learnt that on my stick there are 3-4 channels covering each game and if you go on the 3rd/ 4th channel there is no buffering at all.
After upholding the rule of law for 30 years Stokey, I think that you've earned the right for a small misdemeanour like this mate!

The home crowd don't back them Skegs. At home you can here a pin drop round the ground unless they score. It's only the amazing away fans that sing throughout games. Hopefully that will change this season ?.

Buffering is ok to a point Legless but I’m sick of seeing Neville Chamberlain promising “peace in our time” mate! ????.

The ground at home was electric when we had a boss who they connected with. Nuno needs to win games to get them on side, or the home atmos will continue to be average at best. They are forgetting how it feels to watch the team win.

Gazzi, I agree with your post mate. It reminded me of Willie John McBride, the granite hard Ulsterman and captain of the British Lions on tour in South Africa in the 1970s. He instructed everyone to pile in if he called “Code 99” whether you were initially involved or not ( working on the basis that no ref would send off an entire 15 players). So no matter where you were on the pitch you just had to punch the nearest Springbok! Worked a treat and Billy Beaumont ( King Donkey) captain of England did the same for his teams.
As a footnote, I did something similar when I was University football captain in the old Cardiganshire League. We were a very skilful team aged between 18 and 22 and a big proportion were players who had been on professional books but decided on University. So we had lads on the books of Exeter, Halifax, Burnley and a lad from Newcastle who had played for England as a schoolboy international.
We finished 2nd or 3rd in the 3 years I was in charge and reached the Bay Cup Final twice. The equivalent of Arsenal and Manchester City in that League were Newcastle Emylyn and Tregaron. There were always crowds of a couple of hundred.
Unfortunately, as we were mainly English ( a couple of Welsh lads but most Welsh played Rugby) every game was England v Wales with assorted thuggery.
After a few Code 99 type calls this stopped. There were repercussions as after an incident against Cardigan when our goalkeeper was deliberately attacked there was a massive ding dong and complaints were made after the game was abandoned. My vice captain, myself and several of our side and theirs were disciplined by the League and we were “admonished” by the University authorities.
There were two amusing incidents during the scrap. Firstly I had the guy who’d attacked our keeper and gave him a right battering such that I remembers him saying “ stop stop I’ve got a wife and kids, I’ve had enough “. Secondly we had a little left winger called, ironically John Robertson ( not that one) from Stoke who I’m still in touch with ( he was on Stoke books but never made it professionally) who punched his full back ( even though they were getting on OK) then was chased all round the pitch by him.
But Robbo was pleased he had played his part and was relieved he was quicker than the bloke though no where near as big…. ??
It’s not something I’m proud of but it stopped the nonsense.

Well as yourself you all need to move on mate and stop living on what a manager has 1 great season in the championship did and if you read the article from cooper at weekend he couldn't wait to win at king power and hear the sounds of the fester fans he's obviously moved on ?.

So by that logic the previous boss started the rot regarding the lack of a home atmosphere as his last 7 at the City Ground yielded no wins?
Nunos just carried it on allthough he has some credit in the bank due to the away form.

Fans and logic? Good one Fred. ?
The truth is that Low-Block has only won a couple of games this season still, and we've played many of the expected bottom teams. Riveting football as it has been, no wins at home and the home fans don't get to see a winning team.

Maybe they should go to away games or buy a dodgy stick ??.

I think the style we play under Nuno is referred to as a mid block?
It was low block under the previous gaffer.
Not sure what the actual technical differences are but one certainly encourages players over the halfway line far more than the other ?.
