Yesterday was very poor and at times we looked clueless.
Seems to me that we always try to play fast counter attack away from home which is fine as we have pace up front. However our midfield lacks the cleverness and speed to match it. Shelvey has a good pass and needs to show more of it away from home if that's the way we want to play. Also someone like Scarpa should be in for a similar reason.
In general though we have had our spine ripped out throughout the season. Multiple centre back issues and Ryan Yates injury, Awoniyi, Henderson etc. With our 2 best centre backs, Ryan Yates and Awoniyi playing regularly I think we would be much harder to beat away from home. Not an excuse but I think most promoted teams would struggle with these issues.
Onward over the next few weeks with any luck.
