This is almost the opposite of what we expect from "player power". Our player seem to love Steve and along with us fans are keeping him in a job. But let's face it who doesn't love him you can't help yourself! You can't help but like the fella and I'm sure it's a pleasure to train under him everyday. However either the players aren't getting the message, aren't good enough or the message is wrong. Maybe it is time for a change of ideas as this isn't working. There hasn't been any evolution so what do we do, keep hammering away and hope it changes or do something about it. As long as the right person is free I'm sad to say it's time for a change.

This is precisely not the time for change but the time for the players to play for each other and for us to support Cooper and the Club.

Well it certainly is time for the players to stand up and be counted bse but some of them are doing. I'm thinking of Williams, Toffolo Yates and others but I don't agree that this is not the time for managerial change. Cooper has put in a shift but his time is up. he has to go. The club has to do what is necessary to avoid relegation at sll costs and a change of approach is required. For too long Cooper has hidden behind this' utilizong the players available' approach which implies to me that he has barely been involved in recruitment and justifies his work by simply working with what he is given, in ter. s of players. That doesn't wash and the club is nowin trouble again. Recruitment has been chaotic and sub-standard players have been brought in. Marinakis should do the right thing for his club and fo it now. The present situation is becming increasingly dangerous and change is required. In the immediate future.

Not really had a problem with us losing games by the odd goal recently as I thought we were just seeing errors as a result of lack of competitive games together for our players. I was convinced we were building something though. However these past 2 games the players have checked out, lost all confidence leading to more mistakes but without passion or commitment to the plan. Absolute chaos. It's either change the manager or the owner, hierarchy and coaching staff get together and remind them who pays the wages and what is expected of them.
Not sure what the answer is and unfortunately neither does anyone else at this club.

Players need a rocket up them. Some think they are better than they are and make silly mistakes that lead to goals. Others need to do their main job ie if a defender, defend. We weren't that bad against and yet replace 5 players and were worse. That's down to cooper, we don't see training but need some consistency. Aurier was at fault for Everton's goal but Aina replaces him and is at fault for 3 goals.

Let's face it, losing 3-0 away at Liverpool is not the end of the world. We didn't play well but I'm certainly not going to call for the managers head over it.
However the concern is the the results against Burnley, Luton, Brentford and Palace in the 4 previous games. Worried about that more than Liverpool. Too early to talk of change though especially with the manager having the backing of the players. Let's get to Christmas and hope this is all behind us. If not then I would have to concede that a change is needed. We should be picking up points in the next 2 months. If not then rightly so a change is needed.

Keep positive for now.

The biggest concern has to be that we could easily not have any fit striker if Awoniyi breaks down and/ or isn't fully fit.

We have played 10 games. 5 Away at Chelsea, Man U., Arsenal, Man C and Liverpool. 10 games with effectively a new team/ squad.

We definitely haven't made a perfect start, but there has been some progress in posession, midfield, Murillo looks good, Elanga and CHO look really promising, Wood isn't finished as a goal scorer. Hopefully we will gwt Felipe, CHO, Danilo and Awoniyi fit and have more options. Could be a lot worse.

There has been progress in Possession!
Wow well done Cooper!
Maybe next season Cooper will allow the team to attack!
Possession doesn't win games Cyclist.
Jesus wept!

Good day today. An away win! Signed some interesting players in the window. Nice to hear Cooper talking about developing the football and the style. Making all the noises of a team that will be a permanent fixture in this league. Only 1 hard fought away win but progress non the less. Will benefit every single player in the dressing room.

Thoughts on today's game are mixed really. Something to build on going forward but we have to stop thinking we are capable of taking any punishment any team gives us for 90 minutes. We are a team full of pace but only use it when we are 2 down. I would like to see us on the front foot a bit more. Not saying do this for the whole game as we will get battered but it is football after all and we need to play some.

I agree Davey, if we open the play earlier, do we get picked off though. Who knows the answer. I know today the players gave it a good go, can't ask anymore. Arsenal are good team and scored two good goals. Finish top of the bottom mini league, about 14th. I'll be happy.

It is a difficult question to answer. I don't want us to go hell for leather up the pitch either. We do well though when we snap at the heels. It fine to sit and defend and I see the benefit of it to keep us in the game. I think we just do too much of it. We haven't got world class defenders so we tend to get battered even when we defend.

3.) 12 Aug 2023 23:07:14
1st goal had a edge of a 'fluke' about it? 2nd goal from a Danilo mistake? Trying to be clever? Go long lad, basics. Taking nothing away from the finish, no one saving that.
Turner steady on his debut, tried to move the ball quickly. No fault for either goal IMO. Then shoots of progress after a mediocre pre season.

30 premier league games and nothing has changed. I don't expect us to be Man City. Having the possession is no guarantee for a win but at least it stops the opposition thinking these lads are here for the taking. Stand up, chests out and fight for the ball when you lose it. It's a game at the end of the day. 11 against 11 and we should be showing more than what we have.

I do think he needs to go yes. I just hope we then appointment someone who fits in with Dane Murphy and his philosophy (hopefully then signings made are wanted by the manager and he can use them in the right system) . If we do then that person has to be given 3 transfer windows to shape the squad unless we fear relegation. I think our problem over the last few years has been some bad manager and player recruitment decisions yes but also just a complete mismatch between DOF/ CEO and the manager. Which for a business the size of our club is a massive error.
