Defeat? More like annihilation. Make no mistake, that was as poor as it comes. Spanked by a team who couldn't win a one-ball lottery draw if they had that ball's number. I cannot believe how far we have fallen since we were the best team in the league on form at the end of the championship campaign. I am beginning to think - and I imagine so are a lot of fellow fans - just how much influence Cooper had in the bringing in of these players. Our players seem to turn up to EVERY damned game like they're meeting for the first time, ever. Midfield all sixes and sevens. Defence - whom we've been saying all season - is too damned slow, cumbersome, and clumsy. Attack. well, from what I've seen so far this season, Awoniyi is a donkey, so is Dennis. Johnno is out of his depth and is more or less on his own.
Kouyate is simply woeful. Lodi is not much better, and he's a Brazil international, for pitys sake.
I had hopes for this game of getting a win, and finally kicking on. Well, we're kicking on all right. straight back in the direction whence we came. Cooper will be gone soon.

Completely agree with your assessment of the players. Freuler played as captain of Atalanta and in the champions league, Lodi as you say Brasil International, Lingard 280 odd appearances for Man Utd plus a load of England caps, Henderson the same. Koyatio vast prem experience, Cook prem experience I could go on. The trouble is how many times have we seen a team with quality players, individuals but just can't function as a team. This isn't just about Cooper and the team finding their feet, feeling their way around. Something from the top, to Cooper, to the players just isn't right.
