Spilt Milk. We should never have sold him at all, but now we have, we just have to crack on and play good footie.

Bsered, Whatever the reason, his versatility being one possible reason, the fact of the matter is even though he gave his all for Forest he did not progress enough and both he and the club needed to freshen thing up.

I wish him luck, but we need to change the way we play compared to previous seasons and sticking with players that have played about 200 games is not a good thing.

He has been offered Premier league football, so why would he not want to leave, he does not seem to have demanded to leave, if the club really thought he was really needed to play the way they want he would have been given a new contract before Stoke, or Sheffield United showed any interest.

Lc when you say progress enough what do you mean? pretty hard to progress when managers change every 6months changing the style of play whilst playing here there and everywhere.

LC: I agree it's better for him to go to the Prem, but that's about all I agree with. If you watch the game Sheff Utd. played V Barnsley, you can see immediately how Wilder has completely changed the way he has asked Osborn to play - so he doesn't have to pass back or sideways any more or be a left-back or left sided defender. As a result he is more creative, supportive of the attackers and pops up in positions on the edge of the opposition area, and scores a cracking goal. My guess is he will attune to the Premier pace quickly and possibly get a hatful of goals - because he will be used to his strengths, not as a utility defensive player.

BBM, I did mention his versatility being one possibility for his progression being stilted, off course the constant change of managers doe not help, there are possibly a bunch of reasons others can give as well.

He nevertheless like said, like the club needed to freshen up, for him a new club for the club a new player that hopefully does better than he did.

If you notice i said he gave his all for the club, sadly not many players that have played for us for any real length of time could say that.

Bsered, From what you said what does that say about the many managers we have in the past when Wilder in a instant gets what Osborn can do best and all our other managers could not.

27 Jul 2019 18:03:33
It says they were all stuck in the same rut. But then we knew that.

27 Jul 2019 18:50:51
Just behave. Osborn is not going to become Lampard overnight.

A friendly goal v Barnsley and all of a sudden we've just sold Bobby Charlton.
