The Post are suggesting Olympaicos will sign Carvalho in the summer.

LC

1.) 12 Apr 2019 21:20:47
I think Jorge Mendes will be involved in that one. A spot of triple representation,me thinks!

2.) 12 Apr 2019 21:39:01
Surprise,surprise?
The only way to balance the books, but how long will the authorities let it happen?
Other championship sides are bound to complain that we are avoiding the restraints of ffp.

3.) 12 Apr 2019 23:22:54
Mad Mel tactics. Buy ground off yourself for x2 it’s market value??!!!

4.) 12 Apr 2019 23:29:12
They won’t complain when he looks like a world beater in that league, which knowing our luck is bound to happen 🤷🏻‍♂️

5.) 13 Apr 2019 11:07:59
Now 2 tone get real he'd struggle to look like a world beater in our ladies team. We've been had good and proper with him and his 2 Portuguese amigos. Wed struggle to find a buyer for 120 grand let alone 12 million.

6.) 13 Apr 2019 11:46:46
Syred I know what you mean but how many times have we got rid of a dud only to see them improve as soon as they leave. How embarrassing is it to have him as our record signing- compared to Keane, collymore, pvh etc.

7.) 13 Apr 2019 15:59:47
Most players that leave the championship to go to Greece will improve massively, difference in quality is huge like Walker in lower leagues

31 Mar 2019 14:21:44
The latest rumour is Martain is looking to sign a 48year old in the summer, he is called Tommy Johnson.

He is a striking coach.

LC

1.) 31 Mar 2019 22:01:07
We don't need his type upsetting the harmony in the squad. He'll have them working to rule and on a 3 day week!

2.) 31 Mar 2019 23:00:20
He wants him as a scout. With his remit focusing on British players.

3.) 01 Apr 2019 20:33:44
Shop steward more like getting them to strike! Hahs

4.) 02 Apr 2019 22:43:19
Sooner have amy johnson!!!😂😂✈✈

5.) 09 Apr 2019 12:55:30
Aps: she's dead.

30 Mar 2019 10:02:19
Yacob is Rumoured to be wanted by the owners other team, will we get anything, if so how much could we expect.

LC

1.) 30 Mar 2019 14:36:36
Pinch of salt time, but we do have far too many midfielders.

24 Mar 2019 17:40:01
It has been reported that Forest are unwilling to pay Colback £50,000 a week should we agree with Newcastle a fee.

LC

1.) 24 Mar 2019 21:16:37
To me 30 grand per week but then again he is a good player we need players of his quality if we are going places.

2.) 24 Mar 2019 21:47:49
No way should we pay any player 50.000 a week for championship full stop

3.) 25 Mar 2019 06:20:27
Should not even pay £30,000 a week.

4.) 25 Mar 2019 09:16:49
I'd offer him £25K a week and £50K if we get promoted. Promise him a possible route to coaching if he ends his career at Forest. He is a good player for Yates to learn from and Yates emerging is going to save us millions...

5.) 25 Mar 2019 13:10:19
I'd love to see him stay but he isn't a 50k per week player. His agent has done him very proud getting him that deal.

6.) 25 Mar 2019 17:15:44
I've said before that I don't think he'll stay if we aren't promoted.

7.) 25 Mar 2019 18:23:43
Colback is good but not upto Grealish’s standard . We have plenty of midfielders. So he either accepts whatever a good player at our club gets say Grabban /,Lolley or he goes. Who could blame Britt for moving for a better wage, one more injury to that knee and he is out vis a vis CC. The club wishes promotion without Colback it will still happen without Lolley it is a lot less likely

8.) 26 Mar 2019 08:42:09
We need to clear out the older guard in midfield Watson /Geddy/ Bridcutt sign Colback and bring in James Milner as Captain next season as he is out of contract. Quality over Quantity!

9.) 26 Mar 2019 14:58:48
Why compare Colback with Grealish? Two different types of player.

£50k per week is too much for a Championship side to be paying for one player, but then again we're probably paying well in excess of £50k per week for several players that rarely make the matchday squad. Maybe £50k per week would be doable if the rest of the wage bill is balanced correctly?

10.) 26 Mar 2019 18:50:06
SSWE, Even if £50,000 is doable it would unsettle the dressing room.

11.) 26 Mar 2019 21:42:05
If we ever get into the prem we will have to pay a hell lot more for players wages than we are now

12.) 26 Mar 2019 22:48:23
Footballers wages are a total disgrace anyway, none of us should be discussing 10k a week for kicking a ball about?

13.) 27 Mar 2019 21:53:02
Villa are paying Abraham £65k per week. Mings £1m loan was over 14ish games. Lansbury is taking a good wage for little game time. Villa's gates maybe 40k plus but can they be operating within FFP rules?

14.) 29 Mar 2019 19:12:59
We haven't got to agree fee with Newcastle for colback. His contract is up in summer. 30k a week no more

15.) 29 Mar 2019 19:40:40
Red always, You seem to have missed Colback himself said he checked with his agent, and he has another year left on his Newcastle contract.

23 Mar 2019 09:32:34
Figueiredo is out untill April.

LC

1.) 23 Mar 2019 21:38:52
Does his missus know?🤣🤣🤣

2.) 24 Mar 2019 08:42:58
Good one Ff.

3.) 24 Mar 2019 18:28:06
Last time I was out for days on end I was slapped with a sex ban and had to sleep on the sofa for 3 weeks.

4.) 25 Mar 2019 16:35:35
I dream of having three weeks on the sofa

5.) 25 Mar 2019 17:17:34
I'd be glad of a sex ban as I am absolutely exhausted😏

Carvalho is suffering from concussion as a result of a clash of heads during the Blackburn game.

I hope he alright soon.

LC

1.) 18 Apr 2019 20:16:50
Why? MON doesn’t play him anyway.

18 Apr 2019 03:04:25
Our own looks to be facing trial for being part of a Greek footballing mafia.

LC

1.) 18 Apr 2019 06:29:37
Hmmmm. you couldn't make it up!
It's great been a forest fan.

2.) 18 Apr 2019 07:28:18
If he's found guilty along with being accused of the drug trafficking we'll be in a right mess

3.) 18 Apr 2019 11:36:04
Ff. We are already in a right mess.

4.) 18 Apr 2019 12:27:21
He won’t be found guilty these are trumped up charges. If I remember rightly they couldn’t prove anything in a sports type of tribunal. Confident this will get thrown out.

5.) 18 Apr 2019 16:28:06
I see some of you are latching onto yet another piece of tittle tattle to feed your insecurities?

The Greek are the inventors of politics and subterfuge and this is just par for the course in a country that does not play by the normal rules. EM is a big boy and understands how to operate in this playground.

We should be more concerned about what is going on in the Forest boardroom and recruitment strategy given the all the duff Greek gifts that rock up to the City Ground from that league!

6.) 18 Apr 2019 17:37:27
I agree with you Redinexile. I would imagine Marinakis has step on a few toes and put a few noses out of joint on his way to the top.Metaphorically speaking ,of course.

7.) 18 Apr 2019 18:19:53
He's a big lad Sgetty. Well capable of putting a few noses out of joint. . . literally.

8.) 18 Apr 2019 18:48:28
He's got enough money to buy himself out of trouble just like he did last year. A lot of corruption in Greece.

9.) 18 Apr 2019 20:15:57
Gazzibaldi And wouldn’t fancy him stepping on my toes either!!

10.) 18 Apr 2019 20:18:03
Red your right not many countries where the owner of a club comes onto the pitch packing a pistol and gets away with it,
Did shut their football down for a couple of weeks though.
I'm still concerned though as corruption once installed in society breeds corrupt people, let's hope he's not.
Remember Robert Maxwell?
Looked mega rich and lived it,but only by being a multi millionaire crook.

11.) 19 Apr 2019 00:37:13
Don't go overboard ff.

12.) 19 Apr 2019 06:53:01
Gazzi and maxwell was czech not English I believe, so at least he wasn’t ‘ one of our own’

13.) 19 Apr 2019 08:11:53
Lol gazza 🤣🤣🤣

14.) 19 Apr 2019 09:54:56
Just because he is a big bloke the comparison with Maxwell is very unfair. The only time to get worried is if the UK authorities start looking into his business interests.

In any event he is a deal maker and if Qatar come a calling then we will be back at the top table in no time!

17 Apr 2019 12:39:44
Appiah has said that playing in the first team was a big step up from the U23s, that the speed of the game is so much quicker, he went on to say he has done plenty of gym work, and sought advice from within the club and now feels both physically and technically ready to play in the Championship.

LC

1.) 17 Apr 2019 14:11:44
Hi LC, I can’t say I saw much evidence of that on Saturday , he looked devoid of ideas and courage, bit like the rest of them really. I don’t see walker, Yates, Appiah and Worrall as part of future. One of them perhaps but it feels like it’s more idealistic than reality these days. The five mentioned are nowhere near the level that Reid, jenas, prutton, Morgan, Dawson, Harwood and Williams were at. Or maybe it’s just that the league has got stronger as more teams come down with strong squads and a few seasons of help to pay for them. I can’t honestly I feel a jot of excitement when I watch Grant, Yates, Walker, Worrall, Appiah, Smith and Gomis. I wonder if we’ve got the right calibre of coach because what’s being churned our is just not cutting it for me . Wanting them to be good doesn’t mean they will be and I think we’ve all been blinded by the spin about the investment in the ND academy when really it has been used to persuade us that youth is the way forward as a defence to years of under investment in ten squad.

Past players have excited me but not these, Walker with 24 goals perhaps deserves another look as that’s a good goals tally in any league. Sorry if that’s a bit negative but if these guys are our future then I want my money back. Anymore than 2 in the first team is unacceptable, naive and foolish.

2.) 17 Apr 2019 14:48:57
2star I agree with a lot of what you have said.

3.) 17 Apr 2019 16:35:02
then what is the point of having a youth set if you feel that none of them will ever be good enough for the first , looking at things st the minute they couldn't do a worse job, forest used to pride themselves on home grown talent and long may it continue

4.) 17 Apr 2019 16:57:07
Dan, You have misunderstood the point, the young players today have talent, but they do not seem to be as talented as young Forest players gone by, and perhaps the club should be prepared to pay a bigger wage to try and attract better coaches.

5.) 17 Apr 2019 17:07:38
That’s my point LC.

6.) 17 Apr 2019 17:15:01
That is what i thought 2star, and i agree but Dan did not seem to understand.

7.) 17 Apr 2019 18:31:16
I can see how you could read it either way. I do agree that we may as well not have it unless we improve the quality Coming out of it . I’m hoping Cohen can change that mate

8.) 17 Apr 2019 18:34:15
Some begged for Yates, youthful enthusiasm but easily by-passed in this league. On balance AK was right not to play him.

9.) 19 Apr 2019 09:17:23
According to the commentators on the I follow website, the only reason Appiah didn't play so well was that every time he got the ball he was fouled, so he had no chance to do anything. There were always two or three men at him, and the ref. failed to protect him.

17 Apr 2019 12:28:22
Inspite of fans not being happy with the football on display over 15,000 have already brought a season card, that shows people can have a moan and still get fully behind the club where it matters, with their hard earned cash.

LC

17 Apr 2019 10:55:29
Two simply questions to all the people that want to stand by Martin.

If Martin was not a Nottingham Forest legend and we were losing and playing rubbish football would you still be wanting to keep him, and would you trust him with a large transfer kitty.?

LC

1.) 17 Apr 2019 11:14:04
I would yes because chopping and changing the manager all the time hasn't worked so far.

2.) 17 Apr 2019 11:22:13
Yes, I would definitely stick with this management team at least until they have had time to sort this squad out. They BOTH have a track record of success in English football.

Chopping and changing is stupidity beyond belief. They haven't even got their own players yet for goodness sake. They are lumbered with a squad full of duds acquired by the last manager.

3.) 17 Apr 2019 11:23:32
If his name was McLeish they would want him out.

4.) 17 Apr 2019 11:25:53
I'd give him till Christmas.let him shape his squad, get his own players in and hopefully there's a big improvement.there surely has to be because it can't get any worse.thats providing maranakis doesn't pull the trigger first

5.) 17 Apr 2019 11:50:14
Smithy you’ve just said you don’t want to chop and change the manager then you’ve said youll give him until Christmas! letting him bring in hoofball merchants will ruin the squad.

6.) 17 Apr 2019 11:50:23
In a word LC, no. But then I would be very surprised if there was more than £5m plus player sales available. So who wants to go, who wants to stay and who wants to sign? I can see FFP biting a few clubs and the owners won't let it include Forest. So unless we raise loads in sales, then loans, freebies and youth is our choice. Can MON mould an effective team from our squad? That's the biggest question of them all and the Jury is definitely out. FTID.

7.) 17 Apr 2019 13:23:57
Yes until Christmas then at least he's had a year and not just a few months.

8.) 17 Apr 2019 18:40:56
Lol, unless Maranakis buys the ground and leases it back to us.😁

Bsered, I have said it before, if the team is playing rubbish football and losing the manager is on a hiding to nothing, if the team is playing good football while losing people will give the manager a bit more time because they are being entertained.

2star has said the club were naive not to take into account the way Martin has got his teams to play in recent history and should not have been brought in.

Think about it, when we get another manager the odds are the new manager will have a different style to Martins long ball game, so another big overhaul will be needed.

Syred, You make me laugh, when your team do well against top teams,or look like deserving a win against another team why would you complain about the manager with any real venom.

You say it does not matter if you play like Man City or Cardiff if you are winning, well we are not winning.

I personally would give a Forest manager whose team playing the Man City way the benefit of the doubt to get things right for longer than his team playing the Cardiff way when Forest are losing, and not even looking like they deserve to win.

Althohgh Norwich were not doing that well considering they had been in the Premier league recently they were playing some decent football, do you really think Norwich would have stood by their manager had he got them playing Martins way?
