Colback, Dawson, Osbourne, Grabban, Robinson and Pantilimon have all had offers from other clubs. So did Jacob I expect. Appiah is wanted by other clubs.

We aren't Manchester City. We aren't in the Prem. We can't compete for the most in demand players. If we spend what we need to on those we are back in a transfer embargo.

The point of a good scouting system is to spot players who can be better than their value, improve or do a specific job. Supplement them with a few you spend bigger on (like Grabban) and you get promoted.
