A question for all the 'expert' football pundits on this site!
Where does all the money come from in football these days?
It can't all be TV money!
Crystal Palace have spent a lot this window!
Johnson £35m
Strand Larson £48m
McNeal £20m (didn't go through)
Liverpool another £60m
Sunderland spent a lot on their promotion, which has worked out!
Chelski again spending!
Spurs keep buying strikers lol like they are going out of fashion!
IMO Palace only put the McNeal offer to Everton to stop Forest getting the deal!

We reported a record revenue of £189.5 million for the financial year ending June 30, 2024, up from £154.7 million in 2023. The growth was driven by Premier League broadcasting revenue and increased commercial income, allowing the club to turn a £12 million pre-tax profit due to significant player sales, despite high operating expenses.

Just a wee snapshot of us for the last financial year.
Whereas Crystal Palace’s total revenue 24 season was roughly £190 million, a club record. This represented a six percent increase from the previous year's £180 million. The revenue stream is heavily driven by broadcasting, which accounts for approximately three quarters of the total.

Their business yesterday may ultimately come back to bite them in the backside as as much as half of Matetas fee was to cover the Larsen transfer. If they were to get relegated a sizable points deduction would be expected and there would also be expectations of player sales in the coming summer to navigate financial rules.

Unfortunately there is no way of looking at either ours or theirs at the present time and we'll have to wait until the next deadline for the PSR period. I'd be interested to know how much money Mr M personally pumps into the club and compare with over owners/ boards. I'd bet its the highest for one individual. ?.
