We were undone last night by the brilliance of Garner Apparently his first goal in 2 yrs plus an amazing assist. You may remember Old Trafford playing shenanigans with both him and Dean Henderson after our Wembley triumph, when I suspect SC wanted both and Spence.
Wood our 20 plus goal scorer last season
a long term injury but he is 34.
The frustration on this site is understandable but I am not sure whether anyone would have picked a different side to the one that nearly beat City. SD seemed to be outwitted by DM ie a Forest ploy of old.
Let a side dominate and catch them on the break. It was a tactic that took us nearly to the champions league.
SD is a very good manager, his CV is for all to see.
I am sure he told the players if they put in the same
performance as against City we would home and dry
It didn’t happen. Did he do anything wrong? Maybe his subs. Awonyi must demonstrate something on the training ground that makes him a sub rather than Kalimendo.
All of us support our club and players and wish them every success in the New Year which will be a good one for this club.

Sorry I don’t agree. He’s a seasoned struggler and the players seem disillusioned and clueless. Not signing James Garner in 2022 isn’t the rroot of our problems, I’ll try and spell out what I think has gone wrong for forest.
The hierarchy are to egotistical and falsely believed the club’s progress was the reason for last seasons success.
It wasn’t, it was Nuno’s nouse, the club is a few years off being the centre of all things good where strength and excellence are the DNA and PL sustainability almost becomes a right.
Let’s develop that thought a bit more. Spurs are probably in that bracket above, yet still AP nearly took them down, only 3 very poor teams saved them.
Ridiculously, we then took him on, WTF? It was never going to work. Too many of our fans (they won’t now admit it ) thought we should have a better brand of fortbakk. I admit it, I often thought it. But I gave my head a wobble and remembered what we are and where we had come from.
All th signs of discontent were there in pre season, why? Because all summer the SLT cut communication with Nuno. He’d earned the right to be respected and collaborated with.
The guy got us to the FA cup semi,. And into Europa, yet all i say above is in fact fully supported by the facts. He was punished for not making the ECL, we can dress it up how we want, he was put on the naughty step and not even consulted on signings.
The treatment of Nuno will go down in history as one of the worst decisions in our history.
Forest are a laughing stock for believing that the club was big enough to undermine the coach and replace him. In any business you have to realise the importance and influence of the people behind the door, thinking the name above it is always bigger than those behind it is a big mistake. No one person is bigger than the club I hear you say. Not in this instance though as he clearly was.
I remember reading a Palace fan saying hope you get relegated, I remember it feeling like a gypsies curse when I read it. What annoys me is it shouldn’t be this way, it didn’t need to be yet poor leadership has ruined it for our fans and made us a laughing stock once more.

Outwitted? I fear that Dyche has a basic tactical approach to the game, absolutely one dimensional. Plan A is cross as many times as possible against two of the best headers in the premiership, plan B is absolutely clueless, let's play another aerially inferior striker and pray. If he wants to stick to his morals why not throw Murillo up top, at least he's mobile and more than capable of completing in the air.
We were building up to that result last night, poor vs wolves and fulham, put in a fighting performance vs city but that's all we have to hang on to. I like many below am beginning to fear for us this season.
Come January, we need to offload the deadwood and invest sensibly, a full back and a striker is an absolute must. Possibly a more tactically competent coach. ?.

I was recently playing Sunday league and honestly the manager i had there was more tactically adaptable than Dyche. ?.

Some good points N3, but Sean, who did show alarm at the team in the first half, failed to change approach, apart from subs. Luiz looked a little disinterested. Awoniyi wanted to go back to bed, it was more of the same.
If Sean is an ace coach, surely he could have got one back on DM, Instead we all watched as the minutes rolled up to the inevitable second goal. Last season Everton 0 Forest 2. Did a good away job on them! Funny old world eh?

Cracking post 2 gold stars.

Should say at this point that however unhappy I am at Sean's performance, I still think we will stay up! Willy Nilly.

Beauty 2 gold Stars ?.

2 stars very well put and bang on point.
The Arrogance of the hierarchy at the club has brought the Progress to a grinding stop.
I don't believe Dyche has it in him anymore to grind out results.
Rid the deadwood roll the dice in the next transfer window perhaps?

I dunno what the answer is mate, I wish I did. I can’t see beyond consolidating on what we had last season but that has passed now and it feels like we’re back to square one pal.
