What did you expect? It’s good to be optimistic pre match but I’d rather be a realist and look at the facts.
They are 5th from the top and we are 5th from the bottom
They’ve had a full week to prepare, we had a game Thursday. This was our third game in 8 days. By the time we’ve played Everton it will be 5 games in 14 days, including two trips to Liverpool and one to Wolverhampton.
Squad rotation is severely hampered by a long list of injuries including key players such as Wood, Aina, Murillo and, by the end, MGW.
Brighton were at just about full strength and settled
As a PS, Morato is no Murillo.
Despite all this, I thought it had a draw written all over it, a proper arm wrestle and not a 2 nil. Frustrating definately, a foregone conclusion, ? Well not until our blunder at the end.
I wasn’t sure about the wisdom of risking Murillo on Thursday at the time but he was kept on for far too long when it was obvious Malmo were not a threat. We paid the price today, compounded by the fact that Hutchinson should have started imo.
We go again at wolves on Wednesday. Tough but winnable to get us back on track! COYR!

Really thought we would win today ?, it is proving that these Thursdays games are taking there toll, if we could get players back from injury would be a massive boost.

Clearly, I meant “back on track” after our defeat yesterday DTP. We were “on track” in the previous games after defeat at Bournemouth. I should perhaps have said “get back on the horse “at Wolves after falling off it yesterday? Jeez ……….
