Big Larry posted about Lampard getting the coach's job at Forest, don't know if he posted that tonge in cheek?, but I can't understand why Mark Robins hasn't been approached by a team in the Premier!.

Agree0 Disagree1

It's wasn't tongue in cheek Mossy. The guys got Coventry flying, Served his apprenticeship, made his mistakes and is now an excellent progressive modern youg coach like Ireola at Bournemouth.
I just fed up with appointing no success dinosaurs and going backwards lime we are at the moment. Dyche was a shocking appointment and will achieve nothing.

So, what managerial success has Lampard achieved) then Larry? Has he won anything?
Perhaps sex tape of the year star performance? ???.

Rooney, Lampard, Gerard not up to it in my opinion.

Wolves has sacked a coach and who did they want again, O'Neill!, someone they had already sacked ?, why not give Carrick a go?, young British coachs don't seem to get a chance.

i agree with Larry, don't think its fair to lump lampard in with gerard and particually rooney, rather have someone giving it a go than those who sit in a studio slagging everyone off.

Dychie took over from Lampard at Everton a few years ago and had to bail them out.

Lampard might be alright in Championship. But comparing him with Iraola is like comparing Picasso to Rolf Harris.

The same as Dyche, Stokey, nothing, but being 20yrs younger as got more chance and would only have to win the county Cup to eclipse Strepsil dodger the low block bodger.

05 Nov 2025 22:29:41
Look dyche can't be long term project whatever way you look at it
No matter where he's been it's an average of 34% and won nothing, bit like nuno tbh
I agree with balloons, it's like back in the day when Bruce went from job to job amongst many others without achieving anything, that's dyche.

Unambitious clubs, or ones who have no means to progress further, appoint managers like Dyche. It's seen a safe, competent pair of hands. Unlikely to be a disaster, keeps average squads punching just above their weight most of the time. Can get decent players to counter punch and scrape enough wins to keep their job. Never win anything. Bore the crap out of me.

I want my club to be more ambitious.

Hope I'm wrong and we become a highly successful team and I don't feel like I'm watching paint dry while my fellow Forest fans get excited we are still in the division.

How many teams have actually won major honours over the last 10- 20 years.

A 34% win rate at Burnley in the premiership is not like a 34% win rate at a top 4 club.

You are comparing apples with orange's.

Want to be ambitious heard it all now lmao. coming from fans that said I quote. would rather go back down to the championship with cooper in charge than lose him as a manager ????????? that's ambition.

Exactly what I’ve been banging on about Forest 67! Great post. There’s an old saying which is highly relevant to some posters on here……
“ Some people are blind but others choose not to see…. ”.

Lampard is a notoriously prickly character and a serial loser of dressing rooms.
A couple of years ago my wife went to see Jon Richardson in a live show. He told a story about Frank Lampard when he appeared with him and other celebrities on a TV show where they had to compete in tasks to raise money for charity ( I believe Children in Need or similar.
One of the tasks was the “Crossbar challenge “ which Frank expected to win, obviously. By some fluke, Richardson hit the bar from the half way line on his first attempt.

Frank was very upset by this, threw an embarrassing hissy fit and refused to allow the film to be shown on TV until he had won it.
So, a bad loser and a prima Donna as well as a sleaze bag!
His managerial career reflects his playing career. For all that immense talent with England’s Golden Generation ( Rooney, Terry, Derdinand, Scholes, Gerard etc) he ( and they) never won Jack ?!

They won plenty at their clubs and that's what really matters.
