Well took some time to have a think before posting. My gut feeling is this is a disappointing moment for Forest. All the hard work put in, in bringing the Forest family together, of us feeling truly united, clearly seeing for the first time the direction we are headed. This now all seems to be unravelling at a rapid pace.
Nuno was a likeable manager. A 'people' person. Personally cannot stand Postecoglou. God knows what Marinakis sees in him other than the Greek connection I keep seeing mentioned. AP never comes across as likeable like Nuno. Seems to always be throwing his dummy out, at least that what I get from the post match interviews I've seen him in.
Taking a decent team - and Spurs do have some good players - to 17th in the league is not something I would hire a football manager on. My overriding feeling is Mr M has shot himself in the foot here with this. Will he get the same sort of comradery that Nuno had with the players? I doubt it. Will the players like him as much as the clearly did Nuno? I doubt it. Will we be impressed with attacking football tactics and adventurous, forward thinking play? Doubt it.
It's difficult to feel enthused about this. Usually I wouldn't be half as morose when it came to appointing a new manager. This is usually because we appoint a new manager after the previous one takes us on a protracted run of dreadful performances, or has been at the helm as a team plummets down the league table. Not this time. Nuno had on one of that when it came to getting the boot. Awful news for me.

Nuno made his bed after rinsing the club for every penny. Clearly manufactured exit.
Good luck to Ange, personally i love his personality and i'm looking forward to hearing his press conferences. He was handicapped at spurs through lack of investment when injuries hampered his side, i remember them signing Archie Grey and was jealous if i'm honest, saw a lot of him playing in championship and thought he was a midfielder with the world at his feet. But he ended having to play centre back due to his height. Ange won't have these problems with us and with our new attacking array of talent up top his style should suit us. ?.

I was uninspired when we signed nuno as he's never won anything as a coach barring in suadi
At least ange has won titles and cups wherever he's managed
He knows how it works at forest and all we can do is get behind the team and see how it goes, personally disappointed with nuno engineering all this and leaving it till the start of the season.
He wouldn't have coped with rotation of players and the size of the squad that's required to compete in Europe
I'm not bothered about a coach being nice as I'd rather have a nasty one that's a winner
Nuno gone the players have a clean slate and we move forward
Worse thing you can have at a club is a coach trying to dictate the way a club is run, they know the way it's run when they sign
Nuno has a track record of causing problems after a year and he's done it again,

We only won 3 of our last 12 games. Hardly a good run.
09 Sep 2025 19:53:24
That incorrect in premier league games won six of the last twelve.
09 Sep 2025 20:50:29
It's called cherry picking DTP ?.
Nuno red card is a past master at it!
We beat Ipswich and Man City in the 2 games leading up to that run which puts a whole different complection on it.
Hang on, now I'm cherry picking ??.
09 Sep 2025 21:06:03
@DTP. We have won 3 of our last 12 competitive games. We have won 3 of our last 11 Premiere League games. It isn't cherry-picking, either. It's the truth. No matter how much you want to live in a fantasy world. Nuno was already on a poor run and if it continued then we'd be in a relegation fight.
Please don't pick a ridiculous hill to die on as I'm exactly right and you are DEFINITELY WRONG. WE HAVE NOT WON 6 or our last 12 Premiere League games. If anything, I'm cherry-picking by ignoring our pathetic pre-season.
09 Sep 2025 21:13:44
Just being honest Fred
It was villa, Everton, brentford fester, Palace chelsea we didn't beat
End of the day he did a good job, just a pity it had to end this way.
09 Sep 2025 21:51:54
Sorry we won four of our last twelve and six of fourteen
City 1 nil
Ipswich 2_4
Man utd 1 nil
Spurs 1_2
West ham1-2
Brentford 3 -1
But I was on about last season
So either way you are wrong cyclist.
09 Sep 2025 21:54:12
Blimey DTP. I didn't mean you cherry picking!
You are wrong though it's not 6 wins from last 12 league games, it's 4 wins from last 12 league games which means Cyclist must be counting the fa cup semi final unless he isn't and then he's wrong as well.
My cherry picking point is if you go back a further 2 LEAGUE games it's 6 wins from 14 which takes the win percentage up to 43% from a cherry picked 33%.
Also why bring up pre-season when it matters not and for a couple of games we fielded an almost u21 team? Desperation me thinks.
Anyway the time for slagging off Nuno is at an end and we move on ?.
09 Sep 2025 21:58:51
For the first time ever I agree with you chim.
09 Sep 2025 23:30:18
I'm exactly right. We have only won 3 of our last 12 competitive matches. You've missed the defeat to Man City in the FA cup, plus we lost 3 of our last 11 Prem matches. That is 3 wins in 12 games.
I'm absolutely bang on right. That means you're wrong.
09 Sep 2025 23:31:14
You'll be trying to tell me we can still have 25 players in our A list for the Europa League next. ?.
