I honestly think there's way to much panic coming from our support, we are stronger than last season already, Ndoye will be better than Elenga ever was for us. Yes we need a couple more bodies but when was the last time in our history were we in Europe then go and sign a Brazilian International forward?
What worries me is i think there's a certain amount of expectation now coming from a majority of the fanbase. Last season was a freak as its been said before. We have to be realistic. We're not one of the bigger clubs in the league, only a few of seasons ago we were playing away at the likes of Home Park and Stoke on a rainy Tuesday night.
In Big Mr M and Nuno i trust fully, a safe mid table finish and a good cup run would be fantastic. Maybe if we can get Dougie Luiz and possibly another two or three world class players in then yeah Europe would be a reality again.
Just my thoughts mate, Winter?.

Having slept on these comments i found myself thinking about PSR rules while sipping my morning coffee.
If the rules were changed and we were allowed to spend what Mr Marinakis wanted would it be better for us or not?
The Pros:No more risks of points deductions, spend as we will and bring in the players we want earlier in the window.
The cons:The likes of Chelsea and Newcastle would probably still want to feed off the smaller clubs, add City into the equation also. Mr M is one man, one billionaire. The financial clout of these nation investors like the Saudis is unchallengable. So i feel taking away these rules would create a beast that would ruin the English, European game even, imagine Chelsea or Newcastle back to back to back champions and so on. City have just had their monopoly broken thank ?.
And coming back to us, the mighty reds, the garibaldi, until we have a stadium that holds 40-50 thousand and we regularly compete in Europe and dare i say start to win things, we need to accept our place in the football food chain.
Two European cups back in the 70s counts for nothing in 2025.?.

Good analysis Red! I agree entirely ??.

R R H, unfettered spending would just mean Newcastle would want 250 million for Isak instead of 150!, and we would still need to convince players to come to Forest, and they would cost us a lot more. The increase in stadium capacity, and a valid academy what shows real progress for the youngsters is a must!.
Watch for that caffeine intake ?.

Im not for unfettered spending Mossy, but clearly the current rules handicap the clubs with a smaller stadiums and with the global reach of the "bigger" clubs, i.e Man U, Liverpool, Man S**ty even Arsenal and Spurs. Hoping now Son has left Spurs their Korean shirt sales will plumit. Was reading that those sales alone were worth upwards of 250 million since he joined them, he's a national hero over there and they have a huge population.
We could do with finding ourselves a Chinese player??.

Also, i wonder if Mr M has looked at the situation over at Morecambe, ideal investment for us and use them as a development club, send our youngsters their so they can gain proper match experience and with many within the same club they should build a culture of togetherness which would only benefit us. ?.

Couldn't help noticing when we played Birmingham that they had 6/ 7 Korean / Japanese players on there books, they could have tapped into a source of income from "merch" there. Although we haven't had any luck with American players, that could be our over seas market, ask an American about Britain it's the Royal family and Nottingham's Robin Hood ?. ?.

Hi Red Robin, I hear that Sum Dum Fuc is available on a free mate…………???????.

Stokey i found a player on footy manager called "He Bum Yo" ??.

Mossy Japanese footy is huge, regular attendances of 20-30k, their teams pretty much owned the Asian champions league until the Saudis came along. Some of their stadiums are out of this world, check out the Sapporo Dome, lots of their grounds were built for 2020 Olympic football. ?.

It is popular Red, but they still look to the European leagues for their "Super stars", if Ronaldo, Beckham go there they get mobbed like The Beatles did. And one of "there own" playing here is classed as they are successful.

RHR, I’ll be sure to avoid that guy mate! ???.
