I agree that politics, especially extreme political views, should not be allowed on this site. I do feel that we've been down this road before. However, I have to say that by default anyone who talks down our country and it's values I take as a rebuke to those who have served this country/ our society in uniform - people like Stevie, Stokey, myself and even Balloons!
Polly and Brian - maybe a battlefield tour of Normandy, including a visit to the massive graveyards there, would open your narrow minds to the ultimate sacrifice so many young soldiers gave to gift you the freedom of speech that you have today. The fact you both use that gift to slag off this country I think is a disgrace.
I agree that this country is very far from perfect. However, I feel some posters need to show a lot more empathy to those you have entitled them to speak so freely, and disrespectfully, of our country.
