Awonyi is shocking.

28 Aug 2024 22:31:05
What awonwi had anything to do with sven catching that? Totally usless whole game for me. Inundated obviously from geordies. Told them, ya score then bore against our 2nd team. But lots to be learnt from the players out there.

28 Aug 2024 22:31:08
Yes good game that.
Surprised Sangare took one.
Even more surprised by Awoniyi's shocker!

Except for the first 60 seconds, the next 44 were done of the most entertaining football we have seen for a long time. Anderson the fulcrum of mid field, Jota all over the pitch with a great goal.

Morena first rate left back with a long throw to boot. Moreira for an 18 yr old exceptional. With Sosa also playing well, we saw a free flowing Forest side with none having played as a team before.

Oh dear! we reverted to type when all 5 were substituted and the side went it to reverse and Newcastle to forward, our midfield in pieces! Sanghera, Dominguez, Williams ( hard I know but the 18 yr old was more effective ) , Elanga, Awoyoni, should be benched at best for Saturday. Aina should be right back.

Who is the best goal keeper is tricky. Wood def the best forward atm. Nuno next side for Wolves will tell us whether he watched and noted tonight or …….

I think Nuno has made a rod for his own back, that first half was some of the best attacking under his tenure with debut players, he's got to keep all the players happy which may now won't be so easy?, the Arsenal playboy, I'm glad we didn't get him, it would make squad unity harder!.

One problem we have is players seeing out 90 minutes, maybe time for old school, Mick McCarthy building a sand bank and getting players running up and down until they are sick!. Nuno was a goalie, his training was catching a ball.

DTP, seeing the match up close, how good was the new players, and is Miguel the goalie to play against wolves?.

29 Aug 2024 00:19:23
Honest assessment
Miguel impressed with the lad
Moriena great for an 18 year old along with Abbott but couldn't last 90 mins, great talents though
Sosa looks tricky as does jota and buried his chance, to me to put eleven strangers together and still look like a team is a remarkable feat from nuno, especially playing three at the back wing backs and wingers which makes no sense but nearly worked
Asleep for the first minute bur we now know we have players that can come in in every position and do a job
Thoroughly enjoyed the game but not the result, 3 points on Saturday is what matters.

Living in the past gets you knowhere
Wish I was 21 again but I'm not
Just live life except it evolves and changes.
We've got a labour government in now aswell so what can possibly go wrong?
I'll be 72 when we get rid of this lot and that's if I can't survive the winters?
Look after the working class? ????.

Bowie, being a tech illiterate, really proud of myself that I finely figured out how to get a photo up.

Bowie and DTP, your comments reminded me of Al Stewart’s incredibly brilliant song “Time Passages”

“Now I’m not the kind to live in the past
The years run too short and the days too fast
The things that you lean on, are the things that don’t last
Well, it’s just now and then, my line gets cast
Into these time passages…”

You can see why he’s my favourite artist and singer!

Brilliant ❤ stokey.

I’ve seen him in concert at least half a dozen times Bowie and spoken to him at a book signing after a show at the Lowry in Manchester. Lovely man and very chatty. Everybody remembers him for the iconic “Year of the Cat” but he did loads of other superb songs. Great musician, singer and poet lyricist. At the start of his career he lived in Soho with an equally young Eric Clapton and Bob Dylan. Oddly enough, the first band he was in had Tony Blackburn as its lead singer…
My top 3 of his 20 odd best songs are probably “Swiss Cottage Manoeuvres “, Roads to Moscow and Soho Needless to Say though Brooklyn and Electric Los Angeles Sunset plus Love Chronicles are not far behind.
Worth a listen Bowie, my friend ??.

29 Aug 2024 20:53:49
Oh and I forgot “On the Border”, “Lord Grenville” “The News from Spain “ and “Broadway Hotel”.
Mate, just brilliant! Have a listen!

Sometimes you got to work out, lyrics or poetry stokey. Luv it.
