Chucked that one. Should have been 3 points but conceding so quickly changed our mentality from a winning one to a shattered confidence one. Wow can't believe that, I'm sure Cooper would have worked on and drummed into the lads not to give away daft freekicks. West ham are very good at freekicks, then we kept given possession away.
The boys need to learn that they are a decent team/ squad and even when conceding so quickly after scoring just take a deep breath and go again
We had them rattled and should have punished them further not crumble like a wall held together with blue tack.
Oh well live and learn, 2 weeks off so work on defending set pieces, making better use of our set pieces and ask MGW to stop with the silly flicks and trying worldie passes.
Apart from that will be OK 7 points clear is OK definitely 4 worse teams than us so a mid table finish not out of the question. Also Danillo looked good when he came on until we collapsed.

MGW needs to learn from Ward Prowse ping the ball hard and low too much floating close to the keeper. the back heel looks great when it comes off but the element of surprise goes when you use it every touch. MGW has been guilty of giving the ball away cheaply in the midfield all season give him another rest and get Origi out wide.

Allthough definite signs of improvement given the margin of defeats there can be no denying we are still something of a soft touch away from home.
when trying to hold onto a win or draw more often than not because of our poor ball retention we have no answer to the wave of opposition attacks and they know we will eventually crack.
We must be top of the charts now for goals conceded from set pieces.
Given our crap record of defending corners there's almost a case for letting the initial cross come in and take our chances.

No fair point Fred but I still think we have played better than our away record this season looks. Never mind the opposition we have played it looks poor but we could and should have had a couple more wins. But yes our mentality shatters like a glass jar in an oven when we concede. Your right makes it easy for other team to attack with intent. Got to learn to stop panicking and maybe MGW needs a rest for a game or 2, reflect on his game with us never rested properly from the summer. Might give Danilo time to catch up and the young lad Aguilera to get some sub minutes.
