I know we spent a lot last season. But isn't ffp done over 3 years. Selling Johnson now would be chucking money away. Another good season and he will fetch at least £70m.
The likes of shelvey frueler Dennis surridge bowler mighten O'Brien ect should be sold first. Johnson is probably the best finisher at the club. We will be losing at least 10 goals a season plus assists
If Villa sign Diane who's a winger would Johnson get picked. Another season with us is in his and ours best interests.

Football is a business.
If Johnson wishes to leave and the price is right why not?
It's not as easy a just selling player's.
Multiple factors are involved and unfortunately with the amount of deadwood signed last season it will be difficult to rid the likes of Shelvey etc.
Look at Arter as an example.

Not bothered about Johnson. Bang average for the most part. Ain't worth 50 mill so take it if it comes ?.

True Red x, its over the life of the contract. Danilo signed for £18 million over 6 years so £3 million per year will show in the accounts. They are talking of restricting it to just 5 years maximum so that may change but not retrospectively.
