Nice words from Hodge about Samba and I have to agree arguably the best keeper in the league. We have been in need of a decent keeper for a while now and although we have had a few down the years it's great to see one so calm and controlled behind the back line. In fact our defence in general is arguably the best in the league and I can't think of too many players to swap for any of our backline from the championship. Also i keep looking at the table at it makes me smile to see us sitting quite nicely in fourth place. Would be nice to see others around us drop points at the weekend for us to then pick up 3 on Monday. Will be tough though they played okay against Leeds and will be desperate to pull away from the bottom of the table so we need to be on it from the start. Pretty chuffed to be a reds fan at the moment just need to keep it up for another 11 games and you just never know . fingers, toes and anus crossed. Kinda of exciting and can't wait for the games to come around now. Lamouchi top top man please stay and don't go away we need you thanks✌.

Not only is he very good his character is brilliant. always interacting with fans (both sets at times) and his distribution is brilliants as well. obviously he makes the odd mistakes but it’s far less than any other keeper we have had or any keeper in the league.
Anyone seen his twitter bio? He has got these two emojis together 💩ðŸ with specialist after it. a lad posted about if he keeps a clean sheet against the sheep (earlier this season) he will get samba tattooed on his arse, he kept that clean sheet and the lad kept his promise. samba posted to him and gave him a shirt and a couple of tickets for the next match. he seems to of settled in very well.

We need "characters" in the team and he defo is one. I bet one day he also scores for us even if through a freak clearance. He is more commanding in his penalty box of late and daring anybody to enter it on some occasions!

His distribution is better than I see from prem keepers, got a massive bargain there. superb modern keeper.
