I watched last night and I would say that is in the top 5 worst performances since we have been back in the Prem. Easily. I couldn’t believe how bad we were.
Whilst some had a bad game, we have spent several hundreds of £m - unbelievable sums - and are reliant on about 5/ 6 players with seemingly no real depth anywhere else of note.
I’ll say it once and I’ll say it again, nothing will change until the club is run differently, by which I mean totally differently, in my view.
I know some people are in awe of our owner and love to say ‘be careful what you wish for’ when anyone dares to criticise - and I don’t debate the good things he has done, and the sums involved - but the stewardship and running of the club appear (from the outside looking in) to be below the standards needed for staying in the Prem (let alone consistently doing well).
I won’t defend Dyche for the sake of it, but he has inherited the worst summer transfer window one could imagine. I can not believe how poor some of those players look at time.
But that may be unfair to them? These new players are on their 3rd manager in a few months, were signed by a head of football (Wilson) who himself has left and it was orchestrated by Edu, who may not last himself.

What is morale like behind the scenes with so many changes?
For every manager you see leave, there has always been changes in other staff and eventually you just have likely failure.
In the near term the price of this is bad results and the inability to buy a decent striker in this window due to PSR. In the medium term, we will probably (in my view) get relegated and the club will go down with unworkable debt. At least that’s my honest, if negative, view. I’m fed up with it.
You may not like me saying that but it feels like it is going to happen. If we don’t get relegated this year, it is highly likely it will happen next year based on what is in front of us.
The constant change at the club and wierd decisions is what has brought us here. It’s a huge shame and arguably a huge missed opportunity, but without a top to bottom change in how things are done, we should enjoy our stay in the Prem and Europe whilst we can.

Agen that is an absolutely superb post mate. Hits the nail on the head. I don’t think we will go down though. But the recruitment and instability at the club is dire.
Last night ( and other occasions) was a case of reaping what you sow.

If we do go down we could be financially crippled with players on high wages and their value will plummet. Profitability will drop as well. Get Dyche gone before its to late.

Dave 99 no we won’t we will sell MGW Anderson, murrillo Williams sels Aina CHO etc, and go down with parachute payments.

That's OK stevie but if we go down we won't get half as much money fir them players.

Skegs it depends mate, I think Murillo and Anderson would cause a bidding war, we would have enough not to be in financial trouble.

I’ll just say one thing…. Dyche has been here for 3 months. The best manager we ever had, Cloughie, had a much worse half season than Dyche so far when he was appointed.
On this basis, some of you lot on here would have got rid of the great man and foregone the 18 years of glory that followed.
To a large extent it doesn’t matter what any of us think, it’s down to our trigger happy and erratic owner.
My own view is that any manager should be in post for at least one ( and preferably two) transfer windows and a pre season to work with an in place squad.

Dyche has had none of this and BC took a season and a half before he worked his magic. People forget, there were some absolutely dire performances, on occasion, even under a genius like him.
Luckily for us, the commitee gave him time and chose to remember his Derby days rather than his Brighton and Leeds stints….
