Stokey, you want to talk stats do you?
Dyche win percentage:
Watford: 35% (1.4 pts a game)
Burnley: 36% (1.3 pts a game)
Everton: 31% (1.2 pts a game)
He lost more games than he won at Burnley and Everton.
That might be good enough for you and many Forest fans. For me, it's not ambitions enough.
Dyche's teams also have a lower possession percentage than Nuno or Cooper. His teams are boring and don't play with enough ambition to get anyone excited. Hope I'm wrong.

I remember the same thing about cooper and nuno on the site by a few on here we've all been wrong on here at some point. Anyone who puts stats up about a new manager is taking a wild punt and means nothing he's not with any of them teams no more. its a fresh start with fresh stats under forest so let's just see how it goes to many mystic megs on here.
22 Oct 2025 16:01:04
Very true, the only stats that count are his stats at forest. Out of interest cyclist did Ange meet your ambition criteria?

I'd loved to have seen Ange work, but I wouldn't have gone for him. I was glad they were trying to play a different style, but I'd have gone for Brendon Rogers (more expansive but not crazy and a stack load better win rate and possession rate than Dyche, Nuno or Ange) or another more possession based coach with European experience. Ange is scary attacking, not pragmatic enough.
The feeling was always that they appointed Ange to try to win a cup or Europa. Taking the eye off the Premier League ball was so risky. So it was ambitious, but in a twisted kind of way. I'm definitely all for trying to play more expansively without going crazy and having the ball more.
The very good teams do not let the other team have the ball all the time. The last time that won the biggest prizes was probably Clough and Taylor (OK, there are exceptions). To join the elite longer term, we have to show the ambition of an elite club. Now we are trying to actually have better players than the opposition, we have to play a style that makes that count. If we play low block, counter or long ball, we might as well stick to bang average squad and lower mid-table forever.

Cyclist, I’m surprised he got such a high win percentage at teams like Burnley and Everton mate in their cash strapped circumstances mate. Which is my whole point really. A remarkable achievement in the hand he was dealt. Nunos win stats at Wolves were only 37% and 40% at Forest.
Postacoglau at Forest was, of course, zilch.
Who would you have gone for? I can’t think of any apex manager who would work for an owner like Mr M or come to a club as poorly run as ours tbh.
22 Oct 2025 17:03:17
Yeah, I agree on Brenda mate, seems like he might not have even been considered. I knew Ange wouldn’t work out, just had a feeling.
22 Oct 2025 17:13:12
Ps cyclist, I completely agree with what you say about better players and low block tactics. No point trying to sign better players if that’s the tactics. Worth trying to see if Dyche can offer something different with a different set of ingredients though. I get your point though most coaches have a way irrespective of the players.
22 Oct 2025 17:14:27
I think Brendon Roger’s wouldn’t touch our club with a barge pole mate. His win stats prove my point. I reckon my Mum could get a 70% win rate at Celtic in a 2 horse Micky mouse Scottish league and only 50% at mighty Liverpool is probably much too low imo. You can’t take stats out of context otherwise they become meaningless.
I think one of Mr M s biggest mistakes ( apart from hiring Edu ) is to try to run before he can walk. A mass influx of new players after pre season with no time to coach or assimilate them is repeating the mistakes he made with both Nuno and Cooper, then did for Ange as well.
If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.
Take a look at how Bournemouth do it now and did it under Howe.
22 Oct 2025 17:41:38
Yeah, I don’t think people saw the risk of this player influx, it’s the same problem we had in our first season back, we just haven’t learnt and I’ll be surprised if SD doesn’t (injuries permitting ) revert straight back to the Nuno 11 with one of the new lads replacing Elanaga. Ndoye will struggle in the low block as he looks very slow. Might be a talented player but looks painfully slow.

Lampard and Coventry are pasting everyone who's put befote them. He's my choice ?.
22 Oct 2025 18:21:01
A Brendan Rogers stat that impressed me (apart from his team having the ball more than 50% of the time) is that he had a higher win percentage for Leicester than Ranieri who won the Prem title. I just love the fact that he develops players, plays good football but doesn't mind locking down when required.
Rogers would come. I have a feeling that if it doesn't work out with Dyche and Marco Silva gets a big job, then we will get Rogers when his contract ends this summer. The downside of that outcome is that it means Dych has kept us up, but we've achieved nothing under him (which is what I expect). I'd like to be wrong.
I hear what Jay is saying. Nuno in particular surprised (and in my case bored) all of us buy getting a great run. Nuno did get sussed out though and his results since April 1st were pretty dire. The truth is, though, that Nuno was incredibly lucky with a lack of injuries so he could play our best defence nearly all season. Ange didn't have that luxury.
But yes, 2stars, we haven't signed players that well suited to a low-block, which is part of the reason Nuno threw the toys out of the pram.
22 Oct 2025 19:04:04
We could do with a midfielder like Lampard, Larry. Our midfield scores as often as a bloke with no penis.
22 Oct 2025 19:05:44
You always seem to try and pick the bad points about nuno lol cyclist. Did we not beat Liverpool at Anfield and take 4 points off them last season man city etc was the 7 nil thrashing against Brighton not exciting enough for you or the fact we nuno got us back into Europe against all the pundits and fans odds or tge fact nuno won manager of the month on numerous occasions. There's just no pleasing some fans lol you just talk absolute rubbish nunos stats last season prove it fact and Brenda Rogers how's he doing this season in a poxy league running a superior club in it lol get over nuno you like others on here was wrong about him and I for one think it's the biggest mistake maranakis as ever made will cost us Europe and premiership football because of his massive ego simples.
22 Oct 2025 22:38:52
Nuno was fantastic for 6 months, either side not good, I'll be grateful to him for giving us a great run, but can't forgive him for spitting his dummy out, he knew how the club operates when he signed, and dyche also knows that
He wanted out and he's joined a club where he'll have even less say
That tells you something.
22 Oct 2025 23:39:01
Nuno can F off. He ripped off Marinakis and the club. Good riddance to boring rubbish!
23 Oct 2025 06:19:59
??? cyclist how did anges exciting football work. and nuno got every penny he deserved. And dtp maranakis was the one who spat his dummy out lol nuno asked for the players he wanted to make the team more challenging. How's it all working with the new players edu bought in. do we look like a better team ?? again nuno was right ?.
23 Oct 2025 09:01:20
Well never know if killy, mcatee, Hutchinson, cuhna, are any good as they've hardly been given a chance skeggs
We know zinchenko is poor, but we know jesus and ndoye are good players who know where the net is, but it's last seasons players still getting the nod to start
So you can't say they are edus crap signings because they haven't been given a chance.
