Well just shows you can spend hundreds of millions and still lose to a side that's kept the same team from last season
On paper it can all look good but often it doesn't always necessarily work out for the best, yes early days bit you would expect Liverpool to have won easily with their recruitment?

Whole they were poor today I do think they’ll run away with the league especially if they add Isak and a CB.
But I’m more bothered about what we do and we still need at least 4/ 5/ 6 to come in if we want to compete across all the competitions!

Total squad value according to Transfermrkt
Man City: £1.35Bn
Liverpool: £1.04Bn
Forest: £445.7M
Apparently Crystal Palace (£455M) and Brighton (£593M) have more valuable squads.
We're 11th according to them. If we spend another £100M we'd still only be 10th.

We had a real quality winger in elanga but sold?
I really hope those six signings will be of a better quality than those I've mentioned above
We have no chance of competing in Europe as well as domestic with our present squad
I know nuno likes a small tight knit squad, but you can't do that playing in 4 competitions
He got lucky last season with very few injuries, but that can't be relied on
Having said all that this transfer window is proving a difficult one for all premier clubs outside the big six, who haven't helped by inflating the asking prices

How do they replace that?

I think we definitely need a full back and winger in before Brentford.
Then I’d want a second full back, CM/ CDM and a versatile attacking player
Tsimikas/ Leif davis for LB
The lad from Verona (tchatchoua) for RB
The lad from Salzburg (bidstrup) for CM/ CDM
The lad from Strasbourg (bakwa) for winger
Unsure on who for a versatile option perhaps mcatee or Hutchinson
That would set us up nicely.

Cyclist, that’s a great post mate. I’ve been banging on about the discrepancy between the “big” clubs and us in terms of squad value and transfer fees since we got promoted to the Prem
However, I’m reliably informed by some posters on here that such stats don’t mean jack ?in terms of results and it’ll all be ok on the day! ???????.

Exactly Stokey, the sums are just like some kind of fantasy league thing. If we finish in the top half, we have over-performed. If we don't the manager will be out on his backside.

We are definitely Aldi at best and will be for the foreseeable future, until we earn a bigger world profile, a bigger stadium and the Prem scraps or replaces FFP. Harrods is not for the likes of us atm!

Certainly no one in the premier he was a bad signing end of, defensively we managed reallyvwell without him for the two seasons he's been here
Our 35 million could have been better spent on a creative player when we have such a good defence without him anyway
You carry on and try convincing folk he'd the bees knees, he'll be gone soon for nothing when his contract is up and he will have cost the club a fortune without bringing anything to the table
If you look I dudnt rate sosa, jota, morata, Miguel, obrien either, they aren't good enough and that goes for sangare aswell, nothing personal just not good enough.
