Given our current striker situation, does anyone know what has happened to Dale Taylor? I haven't noticed his name recently in our Under 23's or Under 18's line-ups and he doesn't seem to have appeared in the Northern Ireland squad for this evening's Under 21 match despite having scored for them on his debut? Perhaps he's injured at the moment but it would be good to know as, by all accounts, he's an outstanding prospect.

Just read an article about Jerry Yates in the Nottingham Post based on what must be one of the most misleading headlines ever, even by their poor standards.
For anyone who hasn't seen it, the headline reads: "Jerry Yates sends 'exciting' message amid Nottingham Forest transfer link. "
The article then goes on to quote the player as saying he is "looking forward to a really exciting season with Blackpool", that he's "over the moon with how my first season at Blackpool has gone" and that "I think we can look forward to what will be a really exciting season in the Championship, and I can't wait for it to get started. "
I know that, as usual, nothing much seems to be happening at Forest in terms of potential "incomings" but this headline really is scraping the barrel in terms of trying to give the impression that Forest are making any progress and that players may actually have an interest in signing for us!

NEP Breaking:Brennan Johnson, rumoured, maybe supposedly, possibly, reportedly, amid speculation, to be interesting, Real Madrid, Havant and Waterlooville, Grimsby, Sutton United, Inter Milan, St Mirren, to name a few suitors.
🤭🤭🤭.

Does anyone know if Joe Worrall is likely to be fit for the Cardiff match on Friday as the original prognosis was that he hoped to be back after the international break?

Just noticed that we've obviously sold/ loaned our joint leading goalscorer to Man. United as OG has just scored for them!

Quite agree, Stevie f, Woodcock was like greased lightning, could turn on a sixpence and had pretty good close ball control. From memory, he sustained quite a bad injury (knee possibly? ) and, when he came back, had lost half a yard of pace. Don't know if this had an influence on Cloughie's decision to sell him?

Shield against Ipswich - 5-0, I think, with Peter Withe unstoppable in the air. Then he was sold soon afterwards!

Yes, Stevie f, that really was a fantastic performance - I remember Barry Davies saying that he'd never seen Man. United outplayed so comprehensively at Old Trafford and that Forest's early season results (including a 3-1 win at Everton on the opening day, if I remember correctly) were definitely not a fluke or a "flash in the pan".
Also, Forestforever 79, that was also a great performance in the harity.

Couldn't believe it when Notts. sacked Ardley with them 6th in the League and in the semi-finals of the FA Trophy after a stop-start season disrupted by c.v./ unplayable pitch postponements etc.
If that's failure, I wouldn't mind some of it at Forest!
I think the stats-obsessed Reedtz brothers have got what they deserved since with those two defeats.
Just pleasing to know that football isn't just about stats and facts and figures - if it was, it would be a very dull game.

Fully agree - great player with tremendous natural ability and grace.
One of many "flair players" scandalously either overlooked altogether or barely given a chance during that very dull and conservative England era. Others whom spring to mind include the aforementioned Stan Bowles, Rodney Marsh and Alan Hudson.
To some extent, this conservatism still lingers - look how long it's taken for Grealish to be involved when England's midfield has been crying out for creativity for at least the past couple of years or so.
Another great flair player of that era was Tommy Hutchison (famous for scoring "at both ends" in the 1981 FA Cup Final) . Similar to the above named players, he only managed a paltry 17 appearances for Scotland whilst our own John Robertson only managed 28.
Definitely a British phenomenon as most European/ South American international sides have always had no such reservations about regularly playing their most exciting and creative players!
