Nearly all the chaos and the results we are therefore seeing, come from Mr M’s brand of ownership in my view.
The constant upheaval and constant guessing. Is anyone else just a tad fed up of it all?

Throwing £200m at players and somehow making the squad worse. Hiring Edu. Hiring Ange after meeting him in public whilst Nuno was still manager. Firing Ange. Hiring Clattenberg. Going on the pitch to berate Nuno.
In Yr 1 we just stayed up because of Awoniyi’s heroics, Last year we did well partly due to Wood’s unbelievable efficiency in front of goal.
This year? We have clearly lacked goal threat all season (not addressed in the £200m somehow! ). The morale is low, all this change would irritate a saint at times so no wonder the players are all over the place mentally. We are already on our third manager in 5 months and it all seems self-induced madness to me. 4th manager incoming if we lose to Wet Ham?
£40m on Strand Larsen? We probably will and god knows if that will be good money spent. PSR is not our friend.

It’s all just such a mess, a self-inflicted mess, and I for one am just fed up with it all…. Oh for the quiet life.

It’s never boring though, just image winning all the time.

It's a self inflicted shambles Agen. No wonder dtp is trying to swap his season ticket for Segs recliner ?.

I'm always there and would never swap, that's the difference between us
Seen far worse over 60 years and still kept going.

ForestCAgen that is the most brilliant post I think I’ve ever seen on here mate.
To reinforce what you have so superbly said, have a look at the game today….
One side was 3rd from top, one was 4th from bottom
One side is sensibly run as a club, one is in a permanent state of chaos
One side has made good steady signings to strengthen the squad, not necessarily expensive either. One has a scattergun approach, massive turn over in players and variable quality.
One side spends money wisely, the other spaffs a lot of it up the wall with either poor quality incomings or players who never pull on the red shirt
One selects a good manager then gives him over 3 years at the helm, one chooses the 3rd manager this season then wonders why some fools are calling for his removal after less than 3 months
One set of owners performs its task quietly and efficiently and one owner does the opposite and wants to constantly be the centre of attention and makes a series of rash decisions and actions, leading to demoralized players and staff.

And makes us a laughing stock in the process.
One club is playing in the European Championship this season and probably top 4 for next season. One club is relying on SD to do another in a long series of successful rescue operations against the odds
Why are you surprised?

I don’t agree that he wants to be centre of attention. Dyche is a poor manager, the only foolish thing was employing him in the first place.

You'll probably find Villa are in the same European competition as us. ?.

Great post StokeyRed.

I never thought we would stay long in the Prem because of this approach. Outside of the football squad, we have lots of incomings, outgoings etc too (Wilson recently, others). Never any stability….

Great post ForestCAgen. You describe it exactly as it is. A self-inflicted mess.

I must congratulate on the post because of the response. However, just think without big M's input/ income, still having Fawaz not paying bills on time, signing Arab players we've never heard of. Be careful what what you wish for, or you become a certain age and all you do for the rest of your life is moan moan moan, about how great things used to be.

20+ years out the prem, loving going to and losing to Oldham etc. This season is becoming testing to say the least but come on we've had much worse.

I have to say that this a great thread, with superb posts from both Agen and Stokey.

Nail, head, hit. Couldn't be summed up better gents.

Dyche will take us back to the Championship. He needs sacking sharpish.
