CHO needs to play he's getting faster all the time.

That’s the team that will start against Brentford. The new players aren't ready to start yet, Nuno needs to gradually introduce them to the system.
He might start with Traore instead of Ndoye as Traore knows what Nuno wants, but that looks bang on to me.
Even Luiz might not be wearing a Forest shirt in time to start that game, so DTP can stop slagging off Sangare, who is actually doing his job OK. ?.

06 Aug 2025 11:53:33
Sorry, Hudson-Odoi instead of Jesus. I was just watching a podcast (where they suggested that team but without Jesus) and got confused. I think Nuno will probably try to start with last season's team apart from Dominguez is not fully fit and Elanga has left so Ndoye/ Traore will come in.
Takes time to bed new players in and Luiz isn't here in time by the look of it.

Who's slagging him off cyclist?
Am I not entitled to an opinion on him?
As far as I'm concerned I don't rate him and he doesn't fit our style we won't get our money back if he were to depart either
You've got your opinion and I've got mine
Problem you have when he plays is a midfield of sangare, Anderson, MGW, where'd the goals in those 3 playing together?
Sangare will never score fir starters
They dried up the minute he came back into the side and we started conceding, hence why I don't believe he's a good fit for forest.
5.) 06 Aug 2025
06 Aug 2025 14:13:52
Sangare scores more goals than Claude Makelele (best in Prem) did. More goals than Pau McKenna (best Forest DMF) did. Were they bad defensive midfielders?
Were either of those players Linford Christie impersonators?
Is it the job of the defensive midfielder to score goals? Or is it their job to contain the other team, make vital interceptions and pass the ball to more creative players?
Is it their job to be strong and win one-on-one duels, or is it their job to pretend to be Linford Christie?
How many DMs have been popular with Forest fans, compared with how many have been the subject of criticism and abuse from people who don't seem to understand what a DMs job is?
6.) 06 Aug 2025
06 Aug 2025 14:20:11
And you are slagging off Sangare. You are entitled to slag off who you like.
But no need to get your knickers in a twist when someone exercises their right to criticise you for it. ?.
7.) 06 Aug 2025
06 Aug 2025 14:41:18
Looks like he could be going to juventus in part exchange for luiz
Be a good solution all round for me
Abd it frees up funds for further transfers.

06 Aug 2025 15:32:11
Paul mekenna? ??????.
9.) 06 Aug 2025
06 Aug 2025 15:33:02
No Sangare for me as well please, can't see what he brings to the team - certainly not goals. Too slow and no energy. For the second tallest player on the field his aerial ability is also none existent! European games only.
10.) 06 Aug 2025
06 Aug 2025 15:49:09
If that's true DTP its win win. I was pretty excited when we signed Sangare, he came with a great reputation and was a winner, but due to injuries and illness we have never seen what he is actually capable of.
A straight swap or minimal fee on our part would be fantastic business. ?.
11.) 06 Aug 2025
06 Aug 2025 15:56:03
Juventus paid 45 million and released 3 players to Aston Villa to get Luiz, now after a season want him gone "Alarm Bells ??", I hope due diligence is done before signing Luiz and letting a key player leave in exchange!.
12.) 06 Aug 2025
06 Aug 2025 16:12:00
Paul mckenna? ????.
13.) 06 Aug 2025
06 Aug 2025 16:41:12
????Juventus would rather have Sangare? Well they know Luiz better than RedHot and DTP don't they? ????
Noooooo, @RHR, not a defensive midfielder who scores more goals than Makelele and McKenna put together. Terrible! ?
I love the merry go round.
14.) 06 Aug 2025
06 Aug 2025 16:48:52
Now DTP i'm going to make you stop this!
"Eyes closed, sleep!, Sleep!, Sleep! "
??????.
15.) 06 Aug 2025
06 Aug 2025 16:52:49
If the Juventus recruitment team sees something in Sangare maybe he might not be so bad!.
16.) 06 Aug 2025
06 Aug 2025 17:17:27
Sorry gents but i'm definitely on the side of Douglas Luiz over Sangare, i don't particularly rate Sangare anymore as what has he actually done for us in two seasons? Naught i tell the?. (bar sucking up a huge wage)
A proven premier league performer in Douglas Luiz would only benefit us.
???.
17.) 06 Aug 2025
06 Aug 2025 17:20:21
Mckenna?
Played two seasons in the championship and the best forest DM?
someone won the European cup and then there is roy keene, henry Newton
Mckenna my elbow ???.
18.) 06 Aug 2025
06 Aug 2025 17:57:52
Mossy serie A is played at a slower pace than the premier league it would suit sangare better, interesting in the post above how McKenna a decent championship dm gets compared to makelele, and was described as our best dm, maybe John McGovern, or Roy Keane might have something to say about that,
19.) 06 Aug 2025
06 Aug 2025 18:56:27
Think keene rodri petit, wanted, voerra where all better than mekelele.
20.) 06 Aug 2025
06 Aug 2025 19:10:16
I'd put Hudson-Odoi in ahead of Jesus. Hopefully Sangare is over his injuries and Malaria and can be a key player for us.
21.) 06 Aug 2025
06 Aug 2025 19:21:19
Pirlo and Busquets? ?.
22.) 06 Aug 2025
06 Aug 2025 19:40:43
Roy Keane wasn't a DM when he played for us.
I was joking about McKenna being the best, but I didn't compare him to Makelele, my point is that DMs who are good aren't normally big goalscorers. Their job is to allow other players to attack and protect the defence while they do. But the experts above know that, OBVIOUSLY! ??.
23.) 06 Aug 2025
06 Aug 2025 19:46:37
Kante and my phone automatically changed it to wanted?
24.) 06 Aug 2025
06 Aug 2025 20:17:00
Just my thoughts on the sangare debate, if the story on him going to Italy is true then I think it's the best thing for him. We haven't seen that much of him with injury and illness, so we won't really miss him. the times I have watched him he didn't impress and I feel he would be detrimental to what will be a rebuild of the team. If Nuno persists with him I can see Nuno Go by October, so for me it's good bye and good luck in Italy.
25.) 06 Aug 2025
06 Aug 2025 20:40:46
Just read, Spurs could offer Richarlinson plus cash for Luiz and the obvious lure of Champion's League football. Make of that what you will.
26.) 06 Aug 2025
06 Aug 2025 20:59:07
That old one
I was joking?
Yeh right.
27.) 06 Aug 2025
06 Aug 2025 21:25:12
Roy keane wasn't a dm when he played for us?
It gets better.
28.) 06 Aug 2025
06 Aug 2025 21:29:04
Cyclist, Keane played in several different positions for us. Including a few games in central defence as I remember,
29.) 06 Aug 2025
06 Aug 2025 21:29:37
McKenna was one of my all-time favourite players. Collymore, Psycho and McKenna. Not in the same class but a brilliant player. I was only joking about being the best ever.
30.) 06 Aug 2025
06 Aug 2025 22:44:15
I remember it well, Stevie. Back then we didn't play with a DM like they have nowadays. We played Coughie's good old-fashioned 4:4:2 with a couple of speedy wingers, didn't we? Keane was a box to box M'fer most of the time.
What a player. But going to Man U drops him well out of my favourite forest greats!
31.) 06 Aug 2025
06 Aug 2025 22:51:35
Rogie I appreciate the advice, but nor going to happen mate.
32.) 07 Aug 2025
06 Aug 2025 23:23:14
And another excuse cyclist
Back then?
Rubbish in the seventies we had garris, bremner, storey, Newton, followed a decade later by vinnie jones
It's not a new concept in football.
33.) 07 Aug 2025
07 Aug 2025 12:25:19
DTP, you need to learn comprehension, mate. What are you on about?
What I said was you should stop slagging Sangare off. Not sure what you think my point is. I think you're pretending my point is something else to distract from the fact that it's right. Yes, Roy Keane was a better player than Paul McKenna, which is why he was a British transfer record at the time. Anyone who points out similar is a genius and I'm just really stupid, obviously. ???
Do you think we didn't play with a 4:4:2 in the Keane days? What is you objecting to me chatting about Keane not being a DM when he was at Forest got to do with anything other than you crying because somebody thinks you don't understand the DMs. If you think Keane was a DM at Forest then you don't have a clue what one is.
If we aren't going to play with a deep lying midfielder, then sell Sangare. If we are, he's good at that. It's not a complicated point at all.
I've got an image of a bitter old man foaming at the mouth every time he's criticised. Somebody put another picture in my mind please. ?
Luiz at his best would be a fantastic signing. The risk is he isn't that player now. That doesn't mean Sangare isn't a good DM.
34.) 07 Aug 2025
07 Aug 2025 12:46:46
Bye ? bye ? Sangare ……please, please pretty please ……has to be one of the poorest value for money transfers ever as it stands.
35.) 07 Aug 2025
07 Aug 2025 13:04:35
That's your opinion of sangare
I'd say more posters on here disagree with you than agree with you
Trust me I'm a very happy man I've got nothing to complain about
You've got your opinion and I've got mine and just because you don't agree you believe it's slagging off? have a word with the others cyclist as well.
36.) 07 Aug 2025
07 Aug 2025 13:53:38
The reason Sangare hasn't been good value, 2stars, is that he has been injured a lot and had Maleria and lost a lot of weight when he was sick.
Why selling him at a discount when Juventus still want big money for Luiz? Well Luiz has had a bad season and it wasn't even due to illness or injuries. So if they get a player who is now fit and playing better on the cheap, but we pay a lot for a player who also had a bad season and isn't playing well yet, who wins?
That's my hones take.
Luiz could be an inspired signing, but it shouldn't mean we sell a good player now he's fit and playing better. Obviously if he's now worth similar to what we paid or will be again potentially, selling cheap makes little to no sense - unless we don't want to play a proper deep lying midfielder, obviously.
37.) 07 Aug 2025
07 Aug 2025 15:57:46
That will be the team apart from cho for Jesus
I would be very shocked even if we get reaper and luiz that the manager would have them settled in and used to the way we want to play all in less than 2 weeks.
38.) 07 Aug 2025
07 Aug 2025 17:11:09
The longer it takes fir Luiz saga to drag on the less chance we have on making the deal happen IMO. Was hoping for at least 1 signing this week befire season kicks off, don't want to be waiting until end of August for 3 or 4 players to come in and still concerned CHO contract not sorted.

Nottingham Forest are about to make a big mistake as Douglas Luiz plot thickens.
Article by Lee Clarke in NottinghamForestNews (if you like reading stuff like that)
QUOTE: "Yesterday, it was claimed that Forest might offer Ibrahim Sangare to Juventus to smooth through the deal to sign Luiz.
Six months ago, that might have been something worth looking at, but Sangare is well worth keeping from a Forest perspective and losing him would be a mistake.
Sangare was brilliant in the final weeks of the season and he’s also looked fitter and sharper than usual during the team’s pre-season campaign.
Losing Sangare in a swap deal wouldn’t make sense, no matter how desperate Forest are to sign the Brazilian midfielder Luiz before the window closes.
The Ivory Coast international has European experience and even if Luiz arrives at the club, his presence in the squad would add some serious strength in depth. "
*snip*
"Forest need to strengthen the squad and if Luiz signs at the expense of Sangare, there is a sense that the team is back to square one once again.
Hopefully, Forest have learned from previous failed transfer windows and can continue the savvy approach of recent years by adding Luiz and keeping hold of Sangare at the same time. "
