Yes it is too quiet, can't believe nothing has been leaked from the EPL by now. I wonder if it will be today or will we have to wait til tomorrow to find out. Fingers crossed Mr M knows what we are doing.

Well, Balloons, my friend, I love travel, theatre, music and the arts generally. I’m mad on the Pre Raphaelites and I’ll go out of my way to nip into a museum. The “Kids” and grand child take up a lot of time but that’s all good. You forget I had 30 years of excitement, danger and combat. So now it’s contemplation and sport to raise the heart rate!
If I could be any of King Arthur’s knights I’d be Sir Bedivere. As Arthur’s kinsman and Chief Marshall he takes part in all the action and battles then survives to marvel at all the wonders he has witnessed whilst retiring to a monastery. He is rewarded by being vouchsafed the miracle of throwing Excalibur into the water at the Kings dying request and seeing it caught by the Lady of the Lake. My equivalent miracle would be to see us win the European Cup ………

Skegs, I did go to a re enactment of the Battle of Sedgemoor many years ago in Somerset (arguably the last battle fought on English soil 1685 I think). It looked a bit dangerous to me despite careful organising and precautions. There were bumps and the Saint Johns were busy with cuts and bruises ( not quite Yates Wine Lodge on a Saturday night but getting there).
I did have a visit booked to a reenactment at Gettysburg but scuppered by c.v. and I’ve not managed to re organise it yet.
Genghis Khan is a good call. I don’t know much about him but I do have several hefty book tokens burning a hole in my pocket………. ?.

Both my honeymoons were “blinders” Balloons mate. First was in Salzburg ( Sound of Music) second in Sicily (The Godfather tour). Brilliant! ????

Going back to FFP it seems from the brilliant article above by Jas M that tomorrow might be the fateful day ……. it’s not looking good to be honest. I believe it’s us and Wolves in the firing line but we will see how it pans out. We might get away with a fine or warning ????.

Whilst we are in this phase of gallows humour awaiting our FFP fate, I wonder what music Genghis Khan would have had at his funeral? I’d go for Simon and Garfunkel’s “My Little Town” where there’s nothing but the dead and dying. Or anything by the Grateful Dead or the (Brian) Jonestown Massacre…. any thoughts? ????.
