We got away with some VAR decisions this last two home games. I’m still convinced Burnley shouldn’t have had that goal disallowed and the foul by Turner in the penalty area yesterday was a definite penalty. That said it’s nice to get the run of the green. Still undecided about the handballs though- and there is the problem with VAR. it’s down to interpretation and opinion of the match officials of the day. There’s no continuity and no way of appeal.
Perhaps appeals can be lodged match time - like cricket- say one each side? It would definitely have saved Liverpool. i'm no Liverpool fan, but that offside was laughable.

Agree with all of that, RedFrog. Ambiguity of the rules of the game is more of a problem than VAR. Regarding the Liverpool offside. It couldn't have happened to a nicer club.

I’ve been saying for some time on here comrades that the Premiership top brass are too arrogant not to learn lessons from other sports particularly cricket.
They should experiment with the concept of 2 or 3 reviews of decisions by onfield captains within 10 seconds per game and consider the concept of Umpires ( or refs in the case of football) call unless it’s clear and obvious. It would end or at least curtail this nonsense of 5 minutes delays whilst the ref and VAR tries to decide if a players left knacker was offside or not! ??.
