Plenty of comments about the standard of refereeing which I agree is poor at the moment.
I watch a lot of semi pro mid week stuff. National league North, Northern premier league, Northern Counties East.
These are the leagues that referees progress from.
What I've noticed is that they are all very young ( 20's ) so they have obviously never played the game. They become robotic with their actions and decisions. It's what the FA want. Control from the top. One step out of line or a touch of common sense or individualism and they will be out. Career over.
So get used to it REDS, it ain't going to get better in a hurry.

I think you need young refs to stay with the game, fitness wise gazz. It's the decisions that go the top 6 way that couldn't be more obvious at times. And you don't need to be young to sit in a box making stupid decisions in slow motion. With cameras in every angle. So what do we get used to?

Its a wonder there are any refs try watching a few sunday morning games, refs gets a dogs amount of abuse, same in the prem you notice whenever the ref blows his whistle for what ever reason players have to chirp back at them they can't help them selves.
