Just a question to everyone here, did anyone really expect to be in a much different position to the one we find ourselves in? We can argue the ins and outs of the managers methods, but when the fixture list came out, I was hard pushed to see where 12 points were going to come from to beat the sheep's dismal tally, we are competing against teams who form the most part have 2decades start on us, and in the top 6 plus now Newcastle have ridiculous money doesn't matter budgets, I can honestly say if you had offered me this position at this stage before the season started I would've taken it, of course the away form is poor. But taking on top class teams in their own backyard was never going to be easy, I was as low as anyone yesterday, and the stupid mistakes don't help, but it was always about trying to hang on this season, and we still have some chance, although I believe the wolves game killed us, but where there's life, there's hope, but I think some expectations were too high this year,

The thing gets me Stevie is watching Southampton having a right go at Man city this morning. They got hammered same as us but at least scored and had a pop, something never tried mate and that mentality will reep rewards against worse teams. Just look how Wolves and Bournemouth are doing taking it to the oppersition ?.

We are exactly where I thought we’d be Stevie but the problem is we have had the chances to be in a much better position and to be honest we should be in a comfortable mid table position. We have beaten ourselves most of the time with silly mistakes, some strange tactics and school boy errors. Our support has been amazing and deserve to stay up but the team has been poor and let themselves down. Last season was amazing and cooper deserves a lot of credit for that, I also think we should keep him in charge if we go down. Here’s another talking point though-if by a miracle we stay up do you think he’ll get the chance to have another go at it? Does he deserve it? And do you think he’s got the skills to be a premier manager?

We knew it was going to be difficult, Stevie, but when we got hammered by the bin dippers I thought we were definitely going down. Then we picked up a bit and up until about mid-end of February I thought we were going stay up but since the drubbing at West Ham I had a feeling we were going down. We gave a good account of ourselves for about 15/ 16 games barring the thrashing at Arsenal and the 3-0 at United but just ran out of steam.

Yes Stevie f I did. After 23 years of a club the size of Nottingham Forest it was an opportunity to move onto a new level and consolidate in the Premier League (without expecting too much). We don't belong at the bottom of the Championship. An opportunity to attract better players, develop the facilities at the ground and expand the ground capacity so it's not pot luck for people like me at work who don't have a lot of time to get a ticket every home game. Also the potential to establish better sponsorship and promote the club with a view to European football in the future. Obviously the people who have selected some of the players in the current squad haven't done their research properly and put us in a very uncertain position again. What a waste. If we survive by the skin of our teeth hopefully the current strategy will be reviewed?

Not sure how much Newcastle have spent but chelsea spent shed loads but look at their predicament. Villa are playing with Ashley young at 36+ years and are doing ok. Now Brentford came up got at teams spent wisely and only have a small stadium. They attack attack attack, case rested.

All those teams have on common factor Rutter's. Talented forward thinking managers and not a gutless bus driver ?.

Who parks the bus with the handbrake on???

Just to add to that Red? Forest has for quantity over quality.
Excitement and knaivity during Transfers after getting promoted has got the better of them.
How many Players brought of Premier League quality?
Also the tactics Cooper's used and not using player's will be his downfall.

2tone I’d keep him mate,
