Yep I have to give up smoking in the middle of the night. and to have 8 Stella's a night instead of 7.to wash the pots once a month to give the Mrs a break. and to pay for her to go to cooking lessons so she knows how to cook me a proper meal ?.

In view of your eminently wise advice Rogie I’ve resolved to brook fools more easily than hithertofor. It will be a tough resolution to keep on here but I’ll give it a go……??????.

I’ve actually made a New Years Resolution that I will circumnavigate the globe whilst sitting in my armchair by reading or re-reading the entire set of Patrick O’Brians Jack Aubrey novels together with C. S. Forester’s Horatio Hornblower stories.
Around 30 books in total. Should keep me good for a while ………….
