There was one manager who really only scratched the surface of clough, but was the closest. Frank clark. The man shaking his head on Sunday. As for a peter Taylor well how many now could pick up gamblers/ big drinkers etc . To play in European cup finals. Sadly even clough said as he neared the retirement he'd struggle with the amount of money in the game. and he should know. But you know what reds. He may not have had the money but i'm sure he'd give us entertainment. I for one is why i love the game and why it brought me to this great club. I don't wish for miracles just entertaining football. With players with hearts not dollar signs and pensions.

Bowie, no mate, never spoke to him, but he had a bet with a mate of mine who was a racecourse bookmaker, so I was nearby, but I think he always liked to think he was incognito 😊.

Im certain most of us on here agree with all you’ve just posted Bowie mate, unfortunately money in the game is here to stay until the game dies through it,
