Anyone fancy a trip to Leipzig?
There's a year to save up and a shed load of ifs and buts.
Or is the fight for the Championship league the goal?
I would love us do both
I know that's a tough call for a top five place against the big money clubs in the Prem and cope with the rigorous of the Europa conference but it's not impossible.
Just a reminder
September 2021 Championship position 24th
Played 8 W1 D1 L 6 good - 5 points 4
Who'd have thought it.

We have endured ridicule, we have had slanderous accusations made against our owner.
Blatant corrupt decisions by corrupt officials have denied us victories. We have been sanctioned while others who are accused of far worse have received no punishment.
And yet And yet we have defied them all.
We are in Europe
But one almighty game awaits us at
the City Ground
To go a step further.
And we are ready
You Reds.
1.) 25 May 2025 10:00:11
That makes me ready for battle wilf.
2.) 25 May 2025 10:32:24
Cheers SYD A bit heart on my sleeve but I’m up for it.
Probably lose my voice at the match.
The wife will be well chuffed.
Come on You Reds.
3.) 25 May 2025 10:58:19
Same here!
Let's ALL let out a Battle Cry!
This is mine!
It's comes down to this!
Remember the League Cup win over Liverpool!
No one gave us a chance!
Remember.
Cologne!
Hamburg!
We can do this!
Uuuu Redddss!

Forest in the Champions League
Just think about that for a while.
A few seasons ago how far away was that thought.
And still they taunt us
" Champions League your havin a laugh"
Well can you imagine what will happen if we did it on Sunday? Bloody bedlam
Mr M has always said it's his ambition for us to get there. Players like Malenkovic must have been sold the idea in order to get them to sign for us. And if we did we could be able to bring in more like him.
Like it or not it's the pinnacle of club football.
The City Ground became 3/ 4 of a great stadium. Champions League money will finally get it finished.
Yes it will bring challenges,
Leicester getting relegated will face challenges too. I know where I stand.
" Champions League your havin a laugh"
How ironic it would be
Come on You Reds
Just do it!
1.) 21 May 2025 09:17:51
Fantastic mate, completely agree ?.
2.) 21 May 2025 09:47:32
Inspirational post Wilf! ??????.
14 May 2025 20:03:23
Taiwo I wish you well son
For you and your family.
You are a Garibaldi Red and therefore a brother.
In your best games you have terrorised defences. And your emotion that you have shown in representing our club should not be in question.
Show the fight you have displayed on the pitch
In your battle to be well again.
All the very best.
1.) 14 May 2025 21:07:02
Great post Wilf. I've not read your posts before, but I like them already.
2.) 14 May 2025 21:48:32
Thanks Legolas likewise.
Always from the heart.
Love the Richard Cockerill story.
Some of sports best biography’s are Rugby ones
Mike Burton’s is a belter. Propping for England in Paris
A running battle with the French front row all of the game.
Then getting absolutely hammered on red wine with them at the reception afterwards.
He won that battle too.
A long lost era.
3.) 14 May 2025 22:02:40
Taiwo never really terrorised defences. Had the odd decent game, was actually used in desperation from nuno. Which was shown on his approach to his downfall. Wanting a goal. Maybe shouldn't be said at this time. But the way I am. Well paid athlete wanting to fulfill his dream and job. Sorry reds. But again human being. Wish nothing but speedy recovery as said and thoughts with family and friends.
4.) 14 May 2025 23:07:26
I love your posts Bowie, but I think we all need to show total respect for a fellow human-being suffering atm - irrespective of his quality on the pitch for the Reds.
I've been in an induced-coma myself. I flat-lined. I spent 50 days and nights in ICU.
I think we should all just have the best of thoughts towards Big T and, hopefully, his full recovery.
5.) 15 May 2025 10:09:49
Great posts Wilf and Lego. ?? ?
There’s some absolute zingers in Martin Bayfield s speech. As you say, the YouTube is a brilliant watch.
6.) 15 May 2025 11:35:09
Just reading up on Taiwos injury ( assuming it was a ruptured intestine as reported) apparently it has a 25% fatality rate if not treated quickly, ideally in the “golden “ hour immediately after the injury occurs. The big danger is your old near nemesis sepsis Lego so they’ll be wary of that in hospital.
In some respects I feel sorry for the onfield medical staff who are going to have the book thrown at them. It’s hard to detect short of wheeling a CT Scanner onto the pitch.
7.) 15 May 2025 12:50:34
Looking at the faces of the medical staff there was no great concern, the Forest players would have made a barrier with there body's to protect him from public view if they thought he was in danger, Awoniyi got up and tried to carry on, Nottinghamshire live even gave him a player ratings score for his contribution!. The sad turn of events was not known in real time, or some time later, and I suppose a scapegoat will be found?. But like you posted without the benefit of scans it was a terrible accident.
8.) 15 May 2025 13:42:10
From my view in the Trent End, there was no way he could carry on. He took ages to get to his feet, when he got off the pitch he layed straight back down again and looked in a bad way. Couldn't believe it when Anderson was subbed. This is not in hindsight, it was so obvious when it was happening.
9.) 15 May 2025 14:10:45
Yeah, I read about the S-word which can be a by-product of this type of injury as well Stokey.
10.) 15 May 2025 21:52:18
They'll be monitoring his white blood cell levels for sure Stokey. When these start going beserk, that's the early signs of Sepsis. He's in the right place being cared for in hospital.
Strangely though - would you believe that the early stages of Sepsis aren't that serious if treated quickly with antibiotics? It is, however, frightening how quickly things can go downhill from Sepsis - to Severe Sepsis and then onto Septic Shock (which I had). Septic Shock is where all of your organs shut down.
Anyway, I hope DTP isn't too cross if he's reading this. I would hope that Reds are allowed to talk about life-or-death matters in addition to our latest results.
11.) 15 May 2025 23:35:06
I had early sepsis, my dog nipped me whilst playing, the bite went pretty deep. I cleaned it up and got on with normality. Three days later, my temp is hovering 40° but I'm freezing cold. The Mrs had been nagging me to go to the docs, at this stage I thought I'd better go. Wasn't at the docs long, straight to hospital. Next four days on a drip and a Mrs saying told you so.
12.) 16 May 2025 20:57:33
I'm glad that you dodged a bullet there thanks to Mrs MV! Mine was from my dog too mate.
13 May 2025 05:44:33
Mr M seems to have in place some people in the right areas regarding recruitment.
I hope in the summer we can continue building a squad that keeps on surprising the doubters.
Qualifying for the Champions League would be a massive boost to that.
There will always be some who just don't fit, or fall short and will be replaced.
If we can recruit anything like the success of this season or even better, then It's very much exciting times.
I personally would like to see a top midfielder with a goal or several in him.
Another centre back.
And two quality strikers who have pace. Maybe recruited from Sierra A, they might just suit our style.
And those who are with us next season
Practice shooting from outside the box.
Ola can't do it all
Oh and Nuno you're a top bloke
Everyone gets things wrong now and again but you have got so much right this season.
You always speak with calmness and dignity
you obviously have a great relationship with the players and their respect shows.
So Vamos Nuno
COYR.
1.) 13 May 2025 09:15:29
My admiration for Nuno after Sunday's fracas is now sky high. Calm, dignified, and an articulate gentleman, and you can see why he's still held in high regard by the Wolves supporters. I would not be surprised if at the seasons end he says he's taken us as far as he can and leaves?, just shows don't matter how many billions you have you can't buy class!.
2.) 13 May 2025 09:31:05
Good posts ???.
Whatever the “passion “ and the cause of Mr M going onto the pitch it shows disrespect to a fine manager and a top bloke Nuno. Should any bollockings need dishing out it should be done afterwards and in private.
Mistakes happen it’s what makes us human.
Can you imagine what would have happened if Manchester United s owners had come onto the pitch and confronted Sir Alex ( or, even more spectacularly, our owners with Cloughie? ).
I read Keith Richards autobiography a few years back and he was quite clear that he and the Stones regarded the stage on which they performed as their sacred ground and if anybody came onto it who shouldn’t have been there, then all bets were off as to where a guitar used as a club might land!
3.) 13 May 2025 11:27:33
In retrospect he was upset at T's injury and lack of treatment. This was not an Owner/ Coach argument.
4.) 13 May 2025 18:12:20
My mate is a Leeds fan and he'd "Love him at Elland Road! "
I said "2 Hopes mate! "

Manny Kaltz ?.

It is a high bar you’ve set Red Vale which on reflection possibly Shilton does go above it.
I liked Sherringham Skegg really class player.
There’s so many really good players who’ve worn that famous red shirt. My favourite is Robbo.
Unfortunately the latest news I’ve had is that he is quite poorly now. Met him several times and he was so humble. No superstar ego which probably why he never got the full recognition he deserved.
I bet Manny Katz still has nightmares about Robbo even now.
Best manager after Clough and Taylor?
David Platt by country mile ?.
01 Jun 2025 19:16:38
Red Vale John Robertson was a magician.
Archie Gemmill, Stan Collymore, Pierre Van Hooijdonk Roy Keane, Jim Baxter, Terry Hennessy, Viv Anderson, Stuart Pearce, Tommy Gemmill, Des Walker,
Trevor Francis.
There’s a few there. Didn’t always play for us when at their peak but they did play for us.
Some didn’t get the recognition they deserved.
You’re a tough task master Vale
Shilton borderline? He sent strikers the wrong way ?
Hope we do sign some more or better still, discover one or two. ?.
30 May 2025 09:11:28
I like Harry Toffolo. He’s turned a big negative into a positive. He speaks well and has an ambassadorial role within the club. When he’s played he gives100%
He may not be what we need for the future, but if he stays it will be because he has an input into the team.
If he goes he will make an excellent captain particularly at championship level.
I wish him well.
