Is it just me or have i missed the posts on the Man City goals? I've certainly not heard cooper questioned about the marking four their goals. Yup Fodens goal happens but where was the marking or cover. As for Haalands goal, wtf? He drifted totally unmarked unchallenged to the centre of goal without a Forest shirt anywhere. Call me pinicity, but surely if you're going to park the bus then you keep things tight, certainly for the first 30 mins giving you a fighters chance of hurting the opposition on the break. Nope 2 nil down inside 15 is game over, 100% game over. What came after that was incidental. Don't give me the statistics of cost of the opposition, organisation and man marking is the basics of defending. To allow the worlds most potent striker the time and sp[ace is unforgivable and destroyed any ambitions we had at the etched. Do we not believe in man marking our do we rely on zonal, marking thin air, as our only approach.
From the highlights i saw Haaland twice more totally unmarked drift inside the 6 yard box and really should have done better.
As for the debate on MGW, he simply cannot do the basics well enough. It's all star of the show wonder stuff with no end result. Yes he might be missing Johnson but cooper is not playing a man to replace his runs. As for the sending off, i personally think it was a disgrace and the pathetic side of football. Once MGW put his face in the face of the opposite player it's only going to end one way. Both should have been sent off a pair of idiots that tarnish the game. Cloughie would not tolerate these pathetic antics from a Forest player and he would publicly decry it, probably sub him and drop him. Anyway not posted for a while but was incandescent so thought I would put on the tin hat and post my feelings.

Thought city played on taveres and both goals came from crosses from that side that stopped when aina moved over
Tbh the ball from rodri then the pass from walker to foden was just a class goal
But someone should have been marking harlaand for the second.

Nothing wrong with that post Rutter's and no tin hat required. I agree with everything you say, it your view and your entitled to it.
It gets a bit weary everyone saying it's the best team in the world and unbeatable, if so just award them the points before kick off and save traveling fans the expense. So City never lose then?. It's the constant parking of the bus that plays into there hands, they know it coming from one trick Cooper and have got it sorted before they've kicked a ball. If you going to park it learn to go it properly ?.

But the reason he is a top top striker is because despite prem players defending, he still manages to drift unmarked. He gets himself into these positions despite the best efforts of the best defenders in the prem. He doesn't just do it against us. So it's not simply a matter of 'mark your man', when the guy your marking literally makes a living out of being the absolute best at evading you.

Tricky are you for real? Did Haaland disappear in a smoke cloud and reappear in time to have a free header. No denying haalands class but your reasoning is hilarious. He didn't peel off, bend a run, dummy his marker. He was left with the freedom of the city, virtually walked into the box. Don’t try and make excuses for shocking defending. At any level when you play against class players you are told stick to him like sh”t to a blanket. If he walks you walk if he drifts then drift with him. Sorry no excuses that is the worst defending you will see all season, particularly so early in a game. Cooper bombs people for mistakes, i wonder if he will bomb the culprit. He should never wear a forest shirt again.

Tin hats are required if your watching rutters play golf, more fours than a skegs bingo. We played away to the best team in the world for me atm. show me any defence in the premier that doesn't do mistakes, (in slow motion to some) and i will show ya, heaven. It happens. Simple as.
