Cooper seems hell bent on 3 at the back, most good prem teams play a 4. I'm not a technician but the old cliche with 2 banks of four seem a better away formation if you want contain. Surridge not getting a look in is criminal. As cooper has come through the modern graduation of FA coaching system at England youth level he might be a one trick pony. Play to your strengths, win your battles old school I know but does cooper know the best system for these new players?
Four four f#cking two with surridge and mgw up top seems a better bet than the wide open formation adopted at present. earn the right to play the fancy football.

Slagging off Cooper will not get anyone anywhere. If you play the best team in the World you are going to suffer.

Think the biggest problem last night was not the formation but the players not doing their jobs
Kouate isn't a centre back so why play him there?
The three holding midfield players cudnt get the ball at all and the wing backs were out of the game because Henderson kicked everything long which gave the strikers no service.
If you play wing backs you have play from the back or it's pointless.
Maybe that's why Henderson isn't utd no 1
Cooper needs a word with him to cut it out or we will struggle.

Didn't take long for some to turn on Cooper, really! Comparing squads we have no right to compete with City, we've spent 150 million their's is 900 million. I was down last night but realistic this morning, I posted last week that I hope defeats against top teams don't knock confidence, that's the biggest fear. As for parking the bus, I suppose we could of been open and attacking and lost 10-1, that sounds a lot better, not. As for keeping the promoted team together, we'd of lost double figures again. We are years behind these teams, getting enough points and survival is all that matters this season.
