Down the years a managers bond with the fans has been a big thing trentside, Cooper has one already that I’ve not seen since Billy, In fact I’d say he’s more universally liked already than Billy was. This will be huge in Cooper being given the time and patience to succeed, his initial mission must surely have been to restore pride, he’s done it and in unison brought into our love of someone who visually oozes passion and commitment .

Some work to do defending set pieces, we’re terrible at it, the likes of Moore and smith achieve all too easily against as does the lad yesterday who was unfortunate not to score .

Moving forward we’re a different side - brilliant . If we can sort the issue of defending set pieces - anything could happen here.

As usual very well put 2 Star, the players seem to have bought into his philosophy.
No more sitting back and crapping ourselves about what the opposition might do.
I think teams are sitting up now, and taking note of our resurgence. long may it continue, we've suffered enough.
COYRS!

Agree with the defending 2star the post were giving the CBs 8 and 9 out of 10 but had one of the efforts what hit the post gone in then it could have been a different outcome, all their efforts came from our poor defending in the air and almost another Fig penalty but Samba also fluffed a couple of crosses, so for me Karl Darlow and Aiden Flint in January and we could be there about's but without a commanding CB and keeper mid table at best.

That’s right Rogie, within three weeks teams will now be worried about playing us, nervous about how effortless we can unpick the high press - all of a sudden teams won’t be thinking it’s three points in the bag nailed on . Psychology plays a huge part in football, every team had a head starter against because we felt everyone could beat us and guess what? Everyone thought they would beat us .

For sure pal, albeit that save in the second half was as good as you will see. There is an issue with the three at the back though mate, are they worried about samba or is he worried about them? Let’s give Cooper the break to see if he can work out what’s wrong in that area, it might be something he can fix . On the face of it here and now it seems a flint type is what we need.

Theres no way Newcastle would let darlow go mate. he's there main keeper at the moment and while he was recovering from c.v., woodcock didn't exactly shine. But agree i would love darlow back in time.

If Figs is struggling we've got the Brazilian lad. Spend the money on Spence and Lowe 🎈.

Pearce had the fans 100% until the wheels came off.

Early days with the new boss and so far so good but I’m sure there will be some negative results, he can now work on the defending during the international break and instill his philosophy.

I'd play Baba Fernandes. Solid in the air and good ball playing skills.
