If you lot think Maranakis wants us in the premier league well all I can say your being well and truly fooled we are a Olympiacos 2nd team the perfect team to bring good players and managers through to help build the first team which ain't us you couldn't of made them last results up not looking forward to next season and to be honest not really interested after 40 years were run by another joke and probably be run into the ground there's a lot more important things in life and to be honest at the minute this joke of a club about matches my gas bill another joke up the skeggy town.

Olympiacos is the Greeks priority.
In my opinion he has little interest or intent in getting us up.
The best thing he could do is sell up!
Juggling 2 football teams is like having a wife and a mistress. in other words something has to give at some point.

Lads i am with you with that sentiment. Some on here seem to be very positive about the future under marinakis SL and dof. But the sacking of oneil should have been a wake up call to us all.
I read with interest a lot of the positve posts on here yesterday and i admire the optimisms.
But look at the clues. Da costa was never given a chance, walker was brought back and never played, though he got a tap in as sub against leeds. It shows conflict between dof and sl.
Cash and worrall love forest and i doubt they would want to leave but they will know more about the machinations behind the scenes and if they go for mediocre sums then you know its not a happy ship. If Forest are trying to live within their means and cannot afford to bring in the quaity then that's ok with me. But don't promise and posture then try and hoodwink us. The Jan transfer window was what you would call in business a KPI.

I went off this site many moons ago because i'd I'd never read such ignorant cynical and deluded views as on here. I see nothing much has changed. Anyone who truly believes Marinakis doesn't want us promoted has serious judgment issues. He wants to make us successful and take us back where we belong. The same people saying you can't judge a player on youtube obviously don't understand what they are watching. The same people who criticised our signing of Tiago Silva and who said we don't need another goalkeeper when we signed Samba. These people need to take a step back and stop jumping to conclusions and have a little faith. Ioonidis is a player with potential nothing more he is not expected to step straight in and be the finished article he is 20 years old.

Daftjack, where we belong? Now who is deluded and ignorant. We are where we belong and have been for 21 years. It was quite fitting that cloughie brought us back to the level he found us. He put this club in a position you could only dream of and the reason? He was genious, a simple man with simple ideas. I think the posters on here 2star, 2tone, skegs, 79, stevie, rogie, keeno to name few are balanced and realistic. We say it as we see it.

So right DaftJack, it's posting's to slit your wrists to on here sometimes, don't blame you.

People have no patience, it's the first season in about 10 we have started and finished one with the same manager. Just missed out on a whisker for playoffs too.

I said to my mate at the start of the season, it is still too soon and we are not ready to go up, but you would never turn it down if you got the chance because of the money etc.

Shall we wait and see who we are able to retain and also bring in before we start with the Private Fraser catchphrases.

Marinakis has shown neither respect or intent to forest.
I didn't want Oneil as manager but he should of at least been given more time and respect.
As for the transfers the majority have been abysmal.
As for Silva. not a great example of a decent signing is it?

Do you the big the Greek really cares about his side project? . He's an astute Businessman and has an agenda up his sleeve. he likes to roll the the dice a little too much.

Balanced and realistic? Are you on something? These posters are exactly why I walked away last time. I went to a completely different forum a lot of whom would be stunned by all of these views. A lot more balanced and realisti c and respectful. The same old posters from last time would get lambasted on other forums. I can foresee my time on here coming to an end quickly because you can't have a sensible exchange of views on here because certain posters are just way way out there.

I truly believe most posters come on here to be miserable, if you are positive you’re deluded. To those people I say: GET YOUR EXPECTATIONS IN CHECK!

Forest are one of about 16 teams competing for the premiership, we have no divine right to be there and of the 30 years I’ve supported forest we’ve been out of the top flight longer than we’ve been in it!

Complaining about not making signings is laughable, we are one football team with a few big wages and good finances but we simply cannot afford to keep going in for players. “Get a striker” some people say as if the management can snap their fingers and we have a 30 goal a season striker within our wage budget and transfer budget. If it was that easy every team would do it and we’d need more and more!

Also there’s a reason we don’t play two strikers, it’s because we play on the counter if you have a second striker you can lose the midfields ability to soak up and pass out quickly. It’s not always worked but it worked well enough to finish SEVENTH!

Seriously if you think a business man like EM would be involved with us and not want us promoted I think you need to see a doctor because you might have an issue or two.

What I’m Seeing is people being disgruntled which is their right, god knows I was gutted but let’s be fair and put it into context, we’re currently a good championship club. We finished at the right end of the table but in the wrong way, we aren’t a premiership team and the two European cups were 40 years ago we cannot imagine we are still the same team as them and we most definitely aren’t the same club, we need to take Nottingham Forest FC 1980 out of our minds and support NFFC 2020/ 21.

Stevie f, good balanced view. Yes questions absolutely need to be asked. My view is we got by largely on good organisation and the talent of 3 or 4 players last season. I don't have a problem with alternate views but they have to be sensible. I will not accept criticism of Marinakis because He has done nothing but positive things with the club and local community and he has a genuine desire to get us back to the premier league. He grew up watching Forest and has always had strong respect for our old big ead manager. We need better quality in midfield to keep the ball better and I hope Lamouchi and the rest realise that. We are not too far away I don't think but lessons need to be learned. Time will tell on that but I like they are looking at English players first and foremost.

That doesn't show lack of ambition or desire. I believe the club were just as much in shock as we were.
The manager said all that was needed to say after the Stoke match and looked in total shock, that to me showed he was devastated and it really mattered to him.

Trent. Forest had it all to play for but failed.
You're correct Lamouchi was in shock he failed his remit hence him being summoned to Greece.
The desire from the players seemed lacking and talk of senior players revolving to Lamouchi's style of play shows dissent in the ranks.
Usually Randall does his speach yet not a single word of the obvious failure expressed by the powers that be. again a lack of desire and respect to the fans who without them any club wouldn't exist.
