Great debate going on re the window and players that may leave if we stay in this league. I actually think we are very ordinary even for this league. The gap to mid table from top six is about 5 points. We have never capitilised and closed the gap on the top 2 when twice they have faltered with poor runs. We have remained just above the rest by the skin of our teeth and not gone on a run where we are considered promotion material. Our dismal home performances and results confirm this.
Samba, cash, worral and lolley for sure will be gone. Cash, in paricular has made himself gold and by this time next year will be prem material.
Grabban too will be gone and personally i won't shed any tears. His goals are welcome but hide an awkward player in the system lamouchi plays. I think our fluidity stops when he gets the ball and he has little ariel presence to capitilise on crosses. he misses a lot of openings with his casual demenour and has fluffed a load of penalties. I may get pelters for this but with our system we need more versatility than he offers.
I have my tin hat ready and i know many will say look at his goal tally.
I look at the games we could and should have won. Its not his fault but maybe a less selfish attitude might help. I just don't think he's the fit!

Some perceptive and well thought out points Rutland, particularly the first para. This takes me back to my big worry that we would still be well short of the standard to compete in the Prem later this year.
OK, this is hypothetical, but presuming we did scrape in via play offs this would leave us just a short Summer to bag so called PL quality players, just like that! Where will the club find suitable players who will blend in to the system presuming they want come here and that club can afford. So many ifs, buts and maybe's. We can't change from a very 'ordinary Championship side'to winning games in the PL in a matter of weeks. Sorry to be negative, and yes Oakham, it would be great to find out though!

Hey, Rutland. Looks like your glass is half empty. Where's Skeggs when you need him? He'd top it up. With Stella obviously.

Very negative to think we will lose all our best players, I am sure the manager and club will do there very best to keep the defence we have this year For next year unless stupid money is waved around . I never thought we would have a team ready for promotion this year, it just there are no really outstanding teams in the division but next year I expect us to have the find the right pieces to puzzle and be challenging for the top two places. A forward will come in the summer and I see Grabban as the guy on the bench to Come on and make an impact next year.

No tin hat required mate it's the truth. A very average side incapable of capitalising on the several chances they've had to cement a auto spot.
Will carry on huffing and puffing till the end of the season with total inconsistencies unfortunately.
Yea we get hammered for having that opinion on but we will see who's right May 2nd.

Montyred don’t think it’s negative to think we may lose our best players if not promoted, it’s a fianancial fact of life for championship clubs, premier clubs will come and cherry pick the best players, always has happened always will do,

If we had invested January top 6 or top 2 would of been a definate has we didn't it will be a battle to stay in top 6 and I think we will struggle against Cardiff tonight but has I've always said think the big push will be next year and I can see a few players leaving but I think lamouchi will go before any players.

Red.
An average side punching above their weight.
Forest are over reliant on sow and grabben.
Is their fitness to be questioned or is they are prone to injuries?
Zlaten and Ronaldo show how you still be fit and effective yet our players seem crocked?

Rutland if you want better than Grabban in the championship you’ll need a bit more than the 6 million we payed.

I must say I can’t understand anyone having an issue with grabban he misses chances like all strikers but overall I think he contributes well,

I think we just need to be scoring more in midfield, add a central midfielder with 6-10 goals a season and that is the difference between play-off and auto, hardly anything in it. Silva works hard but just isn't prolific.

As for Grabban, we would be mid table without him.
