Defoe was stop by Toronto from going qpr because there in there playoffs. would get geddy back if possible. vaughan is in the under 21's today so he should be back in next couple of weeks.

Sorry I had not read Bamford's move was completed although rumoured. I presume everyone was impressed by Will Hughes who I felt ran the game for Derby and was all over mid wings etc. Does anyone know someone similar. I agree Lewis's skills are mercurial but I think he is mid field for Watford and despite erratic appearances was responsible for Forests play off position the season before last. Would he be more committed under SP? Just a talking point for us all but I think we need someone. Am I the only one there who thought Osborne was average at best or did I miss something

On Sept.5 i posted a suggestion about 1 more defender and 1 more striker on loan,i got a curt no from Keeno and silly post and a long list of players from Famous Team,today SP says he will look at the loan market for defensive cover,it is what it is âš½

Boilerman, but at the time of your post we didn't have injuries to three key players. You can't now say you were correct!!!
You can't just sign loan players to sit in the stand and just in case people got injured. We already had the level of cover required. We didn't need them in any case. And let's not forget defender wise, fox, Wilson, lascelles can't even get in the team!!!
In the midfield we have Vaughan back to don't forget and up front pato can easily slot in.
I don't disagree that the time is now to see what's available in case we have further probs but still don't think it's necessary

If will Hughes ran the game where was his man of the match!i thought he was rubbish to be honest. when you have 2midfielders go off you would expect derby to have played us off the park but they didn't they struggled. hughes is very overhyped.

I think that we need to use Patterson on the wing and have Burke play behind Assombalonga, get Lanbo playing a more box to box role and Tesche being the Pirlo of forest. He does things simply and from what I've heard he has a pretty decent passing range. Reid isn't quick enough for the style we play his game is better suited to when we slow the game down and need someone to cut a team apart with a great pass.

I'd love to get another striker in, maybe Nugent or Wood from Leicester?

I would like to see Leigertwood fit and playing in midfield as he would add height and a physical presence we lack. Even if Vaughn comes back he, Tesche and Osborn are small and lightweight. The Derby goal showed that Forest are still vulnerable in the air.

Uptheforest. If you couldn't see that Hughes was excellent then you weren't at the same game as me. He was best player bar Antonio.

I think hughes had a very good game for derby. To be fair the kid makes runs all over the pitch, and he has good ball control. He will cause problems for a lot of teams. However I think our henry is far better. Henry reminds me a bit of roy keane in the way he drives forward and has a great engine. Any one else think the same?

I agree that we are lacking a big tall defensive midfielder, and a fit Leigertwood would be ideal for that role imo but not because of the sheeps's goal, that was down to bad positioning (we let two of their players sneak to the back post unmarked) and not having a man on the post its our defensive prowess and ariel ability that's kept us us in games when under the cosh imo, but we could do with a ball playing yaya sized Pirlo, don't ask for much do I, LOL
