We went into the last game of the season with a chance of qualifying for the champions league?
Wow, who would of predicted that?
I'd have sacked nuno after first 8 games as I put on record at the time.
Interesting how it turned out since
What fans fail to take on board, when suddenly we have lost a bit of form is lack of depth In the squad, beyond tye starting eleven, there's very little and certainly no game clangers
Now we are in Europe, hiw can nuno want his preffered small suad?

To use an analogy, it's like as a kid, all year your expecting a new bike but Christmas morning, you find out it's just roller skates!. There will be differences of opinion whether the season was successful or not, ( it has been) but the main opinion will be Mr Marinakis's, the next few weeks we will find out. As for the euro place, and I hope I'm wrong, I think it will be an indurance next season rather than a benefit!.

Downthepub I think you have highlighted the cause of our drop in form towards the end of the season which is the size of the squad and the quality of the fringe players. It has been obvious to me for some while that several key players have been playing with injuries.
CHO could hardly walk after a few games some of which he only played half a match if that, for example.
And in that context to get to where we did is even more remarkable. But it could have been better.
That will sound harsh to some and it does to me, but if we are to be contenders for trophies we need to address this. I think Mr M will and it could be brutal.
We missed out on the Champions league from around the beginning of April from when our small squad caught up with us and I think this will be the key to whether Nuno is still our manager next season.
I think the owner will want to change this.
Can Nuno compromise?
Anyway, when it’s in your blood you follow through thick and thin, paying good money to watch crap or miracles.
Luckily I have seen the latter. Unfortunately I’ve endured the first. That’s what being a Football fan is all about. Every time I walk over That Bridge it’s so special.

How many chances did they need, 4 home games and only needed 3 points from those games and that would have been enough bottled it under pressure. The starting 11 is decent the stiffs are woeful and that's cost us.

Mossyred I look at it this way
This Europa conference league could be used along with the league cup, to build a squad that has more strength in depth and that the fringe players benefit from more game time.
We do need quality players in key positions and that’s down to the recruitment team and money.
So let’s see what happens.
