Just thinking of Cloughies favourite dictum. " good players that win you matches, not tactics or formations. Anybody who thinks otherwise doesn't know owt about football. "
At Wolves, Nunez had some wonderful players like Jimenez, Jota, Traore, Coady, etc.
Also, was there a coded criticism of Mr Ms recuitment policy when he said he had never managed a squad of 30 players?
Also, he should be able to sort out the goalkeeper situation with his background between the sticks.
All in all, a big call by the big man but, despite the disgraceful treatment of SC we should raise the roof for our new manager on Saturday and support him in the same way we did Cooper. My mate is a Wolves fan and they still regard him as a club legend, despite him abandoning ship to fail at Spurs. There's no reason why he shouldn't earn a similar reputation at Forest.

Stokey disgraceful treatment of sc? He fell out with and ostracised about 10 expensive professionals. Bought in a load of crap and was given time beyond reason. His tactics were archaic and boring, and motivation became non existent. What was supposed to happen. He got a contract that made him for life and used his popularity with the fans as a weapon against his employer. He’s had his 15 minutes of fame.

So Balloons?
You really want Worrell back in the first team?
I don't. Forest through and through, however just not good enough for Premier League Football.

Very similar feelings to myself Rutland. Will never accept his treatment of Sam Surridge for a start.

Rutland, mate, your musings are interesting but based on pure speculation on your part. You don't have a shred of evidence that he fell out with anybody ( apart from Jonjo Shelvey). Did he ostracise any player? He had a massive squad to assess, trim down and assimilate over 2 seasons, what was it over 40 professionals.? Perhaps we should have applied to the Premiership to change the rules and allow us to field a team of 15 starters and a squad of 35?
As for his (perceived) park the bus, defensive, low block archaic tactics, they are the same tactics employed by the majority of coaches of teams outside the big 4. For example, when Dyche, Kompany etc use identical tactics they are lauded to the skies as football geniuses! Often brings a wry smile to my face.
Look, the bottom line is Coops has gone and it’s over to Mr Nunez. I’ve said on here a few times, managerial appointments are purely down to Mr M. It’s his gaff, his rules, his money. Otherwise, we mere mortals care like a load of bald men arguing over a comb!
(No offence intended)!

No it, s our club, without us there is no club.
Owners chairmen directors usually no very little about football, all about prestige.
They and manager players ect. should all have much more respect for us fans, the life blood of all clubs.
CARLO.

If the supporters are angry with Mr Marinakis for getting rid of SC, just don't sing Mull of Kintyre, silent protest.

Carlo, my friend, you are like me, a true romantic who’s love of Forest goes back to those days when the club was run by a committee of altruistic local businessmen and income was solely dependent on gate receipts, advertising of Home Ales and the selling of matchday programmes and meat pies. You are right entirely that the spirit and sole of the club is kept alive by the fans who are their sole custodians for all eternity.
The sad reality is that, legally, economically and commercially the club is in hoc to a billionaire foreigner who owns a couple of other clubs and who depends in turn is on the Premiership, a global franchise with little concern except the profit margins.
There is a ray of light for the future with the development of fan owned clubs in Europe, particularly Germany but who knows what the future holds for our Forest supporting kids and grandkids? We can only keep the sacred flame alight as best we can mate.
