Just a few thoughts from yesterday comrades one and all.
As per my previous posts I see definate evolution as new players bed in, particularly our ball playing new centre back. Couldn't see much parking of the old bus just skilful players and defenders stepping into midfield and beyond and counter attacking quickly and with purpose.
Murillo s effort would have been contender for greatest ever individual goal if it had gone in and greatest ever 40 yard assist if MGW s had not hit the post. Probably better than Bobby Moore's in 66 because Hurst had 40 yards space whereas MGW had 2 defenders on him.
For all those of a "we are doomed " persuasion we are 9 points from 8 games, 5 of which have been away from home, 4 of which were at the big spenders Arsenal, Man City, United and Chelsea.
Again, for those emphasising Palace s injury list we were missing Anoniyi, Danillo, Olna, Felipe, Aurier during the game and Niakhate suspended. The difference is we now have strength in depth with quality players ready to step in.
Project Cooper is on course it seems.

Fair point Skegs mate but if it fails it’s Coopers head that gets the chop. Obviously he couldn’t do it with the big man’s money and the promising players scouted and recruited. So, well done them for Olna, Dominguez, Murillo, Sanghere, Elanga, Montiel and CHO, Turner etc who all look very promising.
Talking of signings, I remember when Yates was the whipping boy on here now it seems to be Chris Wood. Clearly he’s no Taiwo but I thought he worked hard yesterday and is a good professional who puts a shift in. He reminds me of John O Hare back in the day (who was also derided a bit for being ex Derby and for not being Birtles, Woodcock or Withe! ).
Talking of Wood well done Leigh Wood, did us proud last night after being under the cosh for 5 rounds. ?????????????????.

You are right, it is all of the others mentioned too, plus the fans who turn up each week. In other words, Cooper is part of a whole team that is on the up. So next time you have a pop at ‘parking the bus’ or whatever else you decide to jump on, remember there is a team of coaches, tacticians etc who work alongside Cooper too, it isn’t just him. Anyway, just be happy you thought yesterday was a ‘good performance’.

Yeah Stokey, I'm sick of hearing about Palace injuries as well. It's just total bollocks. We have more key players out than they do, simple as that.

Arguably our key defensive leader, best full back so far this season, our top scorer from last season and Danilo who scored three games on the trot at the end of last season. The media are full of Bovine excreta, if you ask me.

Someone posted about motd showing how we could have won, total insult to SC and Nottingham Forest. Why miss Toffolo?. They would not do that to a so called top team. Why not analize like they would to the top team's. Are we getting the same for how many cith missed yesterday?.
