Knowing what was at stake last night, CH was brave in team selection. Hope he pulls it off again against Millwall.

barren

1.) 17 Dec 2020 11:59:49
Completely disagree. The changes he made were forced on him by injury and suspension. If he picked the team on form/ merit then he would have dropped some of the suspended or injured players far sooner.

It's nice to hear a after game interview with a Forest Manager, being fair and honest about the game and the player's.

Really Envy you guys who have a good pension, enjoying retirement. I'm going to work for twelve hours, with people I would avoid like the plague if I didn't get paid. And I'm sure the feelings mutual!.

barren

1.) 04 Oct 2023 07:26:28
That don't sound great barren and bloody rich pensioners on here with nothing else to do but live it up especially balloons ??.

2.) 04 Oct 2023 08:01:42
It's wonderful barren, go to bed when you want, get up when you want, nice afternoon nap ??. Walk on the beach with a coffee after a few hours guitar practice ? Your time will come mate don't fret. got to go mate breakfast is ready ??.

3.) 04 Oct 2023 08:18:47
Couldn't have put it better barren mate ?.

4.) 04 Oct 2023 08:45:01
Boomers buggered this country, tbf. Got houses/ property on the cheap, raised a generation of half-wits, got pensioned off handsomely and then voted 'leave' a few years before they pop their clogs. Yeah thanks, Chaps. You've left a right mess. I wouldn't be proud.

5.) 04 Oct 2023 09:22:07
Sswe yep, or worked hard, saved wisely, while the taxes they paid were wasted by useless politicians of all political persuasions, if you’ve been unsuccessful have a look at yourself 1st, before you thrash around blaming everyone else, , other European economies are stuffed as well, nothing to do with voting leave, but don’t let the facts get in the way of a good rant, by the way I’ve got buggar all as well, but I choose to blame myself, not envy those who have done well for themselves.

6.) 04 Oct 2023 10:16:10
Boooooooooo bloody rich pensioners claiming freebies for everything ??.

7.) 04 Oct 2023 10:20:35
Off on holiday again Saturday but personally hate smug people and Brexitiers, aren’t they one of the same?
Incidentally my sons were raised to be good citizens of MY country and not many of today’s lot would want the hard dirty demanding job I did most of my working life, they wouldn’t last 5 minutes.
The three people mostly responsible for the state of current UK are Murdoch Thatcher and that great dancer Farage.
I hate all three with a vengeance.
CARLO.

8.) 04 Oct 2023 10:42:32
Carlo not Blair then? ?your a joker mate, as for people being smug, have a look in the mirror, you blame farage a bloke that’s never been elected mp?your statement is full of sweeping statements pathetic,

9.) 04 Oct 2023 10:42:36
I justify my 3 pensions plus State pension by saying I worked chuffing hard for all of them and put my life on the line many times for the Police one.
I genuinely feel sorry for people working in a job they hate to put bread on the table. I was lucky that I enjoyed my 3 jobs before retirement.
Whilst recently updating my will I instructed my wife that if I’m ever on a life support machine and they want to turn it off fight tooth and nail to prevent it as I've only got to keep breathing to keep the money coming in!
Unlike many of our glorious leaders I’ve always paid my taxes in full ( and watched most of it spades up the wall)! In return I expect the State to look after me and my fellow citizens.

10.) 04 Oct 2023 10:48:49
Thatcher ??? see we hate thatcher not just me and the dog ????.

11.) 04 Oct 2023 11:25:55
You boomers voted for yourselves to be looked after by the state, but the next generation not to be. You voted to buy your council houses cheaply, but none to be built for the next generation. Furthermore, you voted for people who took away the free education you had. The free dental care, eye care, cheap electricity and water etc, etc. You had them all and voted for us not to, so you could have a better retirement.

Thanks a lot!

12.) 04 Oct 2023 11:33:11
Don't begrudge anyone a happy retirement, just I was feckless youth, and young adult and as soon as I got my money it was spent! (.

{Ed001's Note - I am regretting putting your original post up now. You lot on here will fight over anything. And if there is nothing to fight about you just return to an old fight. It's such hard work on here.}

13.) 04 Oct 2023 12:10:42
It’s just healthy and lively debate Ed (mostly ??).
Anyway, I commend everyone to read Thomas Hobbes “Leviathan” written during the English Civil War when life was “nasty, violent and short “. It’s a great read and shows what a good social contract between citizen tax payer and the State looks like.

{Ed001's Note - I am not sure healthy is the right word for it! It is about as healthy as I remember my grandad and he only had one lung after contracting tb saving a man from drowning. He couldn't even make it up the stairs without stopping for a breather halfway. That is the health level of the debates on here. Though at times it is more like his health level now and he has been dead for over 20 years!}

14.) 04 Oct 2023 12:26:07
Did he get free health care from NHS Ed for being a pensioner ??.

15.) 04 Oct 2023 12:32:14
See Alf Garrent still alive and well, in fact there’s millions of working class people who vote for a load of public school wallers who don, t give a f—- about them. As for Blair I personally hate him but when he left office the NHS and education education were very well funded.
CARLO.
.

16.) 04 Oct 2023 13:09:59
Yes sorry Edoo1, did mean to open a can of worms ?. Just felt a bit down on the bus this morning.

17.) 04 Oct 2023 13:57:52
Wow, i was only on about people i work with ??, too many with time on there hands i guess. And i hate thatchers. Vodka all day.

18.) 04 Oct 2023 13:58:29
Ed, sorry to hear about your Grandad. My Grandad was similarly afflicted but with silicosis from being a miner. He passed away in his early 60s and by the end he was struggling to do anything much.
In fact when my Dad expressed thoughts of working in the pit my Grandfather threatened him with physical violence so he ended up as a welder at Raleigh.

19.) 04 Oct 2023 13:58:46
Carlo as I remember when the last Labour government left office, they left a note in the desk saying ‘ sorry there’s no money left’ you live in a fantasy world, and by the way, brexit was for in the Labour heartland by Labour voters, which is why the ‘ red wall ‘. Disappeared at the last election, most Tory areas voted remain,

20.) 04 Oct 2023 15:41:47
I, m the realistic person you could ever met and the note was like most of my post! Tonge in cheek and the Brexit vote was led by Murdoch Sun readers, the honest ones now know they were sold a pup but the others are now still listening too the likes of Bravera who are intent on stirring up racial hatred in a pathetic bid to get re-elected,.
As for me living in a fantasy world, I never make person attacks because that shows you are losing the argument.
I used to listen to Sir Brian, he knew the score, now unlike me he was a socialist!
CARLO.

21.) 04 Oct 2023 15:57:59
Well said carlo.

22.) 04 Oct 2023 16:24:09
Carlo so when you make a personal attack (Alf garnett) IT’s tongue in cheek, like the rest of your post it’s a work of fiction based on sweeping stereotypes, all sun readers voted Brexit unsustansiated bs, and talking about ways of stopping a town the size of Nottingham coming in illegally every year is stirring up racial hatred? More rubbish, what fueled brexit is ordinary people being sick and tired of paying into an elite corrupt club the eu, that darent even have its accounts scrutinised, because they know they have been fiddled, Brian might have been a great football manager, doesn’t make him right about politics, SKEGS you really need to stop hanging on other peoples coat tails, I always wanted politics banning off this site, but Carlo can’t leave it, he has an arrogant assumption that everyone agrees with him, you should both stick to slagging cooper off,

23.) 04 Oct 2023 16:56:47
Calm down stevie mate have you ever thought of taking up tai chi for all that anger and stress mate ?.

24.) 04 Oct 2023 17:13:23
We wouldn’t have a Tory Government if everyone agreed with me and we certainly wouldn’t have left ourselves out on a limb with the rest of Europe in these dangerous times.
If you watched Till death us do part you, d understand the irony of it, and the Garnets are still alive and kicking but what is personal about that.
I call them ten bob Tories and the Old School tie brigade love them.
It’s like Turkey’s voting for Christmas.
CARLO
PS l
I, e never ever slagged of Coops and
I, d sooner listen to Brian than Farage.

25.) 04 Oct 2023 17:42:57
Carlo you’d probably sooner listen to yourself, you appear pretty comfortable with the sound of your own voice, your opening line is breathtaking in its arrogance

26.) 05 Oct 2023 14:42:17
Yeah Stevie, because the UK government is not corrupt, but the EU is. Seriously? Where have you been living? ?

The EU is protection racket for big business and the rich. So is the UK state.

27.) 05 Oct 2023 18:01:17
Cyclist, the eu is a gravy train who won’t allow their accounts to be appraised, because they know they will be shown up for what they are, fiddled, you can vote out the uk government, but eu officials are appointed unelected, unaccountable beauracrats, I’ve been living here, why where have you been living? I hate politicians of all persuasions, but what surprised me on here was the venom towards people that had paid into the system all theirs lives, and were being blamed for feathering their own nests, yet thousands come here illegally every year, are put up in hotels re homed, given benefits,
etc etc
Having paid zero into the system and no one bats an eyelid, it’s Typically jealous lefty thinking, I’m done with the subject,

03 Oct 2023 10:16:59
Bet for tonight, Notts, Mansfield both teams to score, either team to win?.

barren

1.) 03 Oct 2023 10:50:13
Rather your money than mine mate
Mansfield are draw specialists and Swindon not lost a game this season
But you go for it pal and I hope it comes in for you.

2.) 03 Oct 2023 10:56:35
Was going to put Mansfield in my accumulator but changed my mind there a bit dodgy midweek games.

02 Oct 2023 19:38:25
You know Brentford should have won, we had so much luck yesterday it was unbelievable, hand balls in the box, goalie kicking down there player. If that happened to us we would be up in arms how bad we were treated!. Can't see Turner playing against Palace, may get another draw against Palace?.

barren

1.) 02 Oct 2023 20:29:59
I'm a bit surprised barren, that the Turner ( foul) hasn't been talked about much on here.
For me, it was a definite penalty.
You win some eh.

2.) 02 Oct 2023 20:45:22
No Forest fan wants Coop out but even so he does make mistakes.
To play with no left back completely unbalanced the team, just watching took some figuring out the formation and for those playing it must have been worse.
We looked better balanced when down to 10.
.
This should be a lessoned learn, could do better.
CARLO.

3.) 02 Oct 2023 21:24:53
Balloons does carlo, all managers make mistakes, pep the last two games, managers aren't on the pitch though and can only pick what they think is the best team to beat the opposition
At least he's made fewer mistakes than all the previous managers we've had this last 23 years?
Remember carlo he is only 43 young for a premier coach and right from starting out he's bought success to England then Swansea, who peed him off thankfully through to forest
Quite a few said he's one trick pony who only knows how to park the bus?
Well he's played many different formations so far this season and he changed formations last season to, but some just want attack all guns blazing approach, you can't go out and play like that when it's only our second season, it's about establishing ourselves and that's all the big man will want for now.
If Cooper had gone out and attacked teams last season we wouldn't be talking premier league on here, that's for sure.

4.) 03 Oct 2023 08:24:24
Balloons wants the same as me a bit of the football Cooper promised at the start of the season

5.) 03 Oct 2023 08:43:48
Skegs you both said you want cooper out, and I’m sure balloons don’t need you to speak for him does he, ? we’ve had some of the hardest fixtures in world football in our 1st few games, don’t 2-0 up at old Trafford count as attacking? Sharing possession at the etihad, even a with 10 men city usually hog the ball, we had 63% possession 2nd half there, I think we are playing a different style, palace will be a more realistic test of how we want to play away,

6.) 03 Oct 2023 08:56:00
Skeggs balloons has clearly stated on here that he wants Cooper out.

7.) 03 Oct 2023 09:44:56
No I don't after speak up for balloons i'm sure if the eds let any of his posts on he will speak for himself in the mean time I will speak for both of us on that subject the football is as predictable as me complaining about coopers boring football he his also the one that keeps saying I don't want to play our football this way not me I'm not going to write a book about it or stop up all night to get statistics it's my opinion and untill Cooper does what he says I will stick by it.

8.) 03 Oct 2023 10:28:54
Stevie balloons does need somebody to speak for him because the majority of his posts never get on ? ?.

9.) 03 Oct 2023 10:34:39
Stevie and 79 I only want Coopers boring brand of football out. I'd be more than happy for him to stay if he entertained me. Just look what has happened at Villa since they got a class experienced coach in. There flying ?.

10.) 03 Oct 2023 11:03:57
Balloons, if your posts don't get on here it's because you've written something inappropriate in the eds opinion.
Try to be less objectionable, I'm sure they will be posted then.

11.) 03 Oct 2023 11:08:42
I'm sure the edd has good reason for not putting up some posts skeggs.

12.) 03 Oct 2023 11:48:23
Yes that's right 79 me and u balloons should stop calling Cooper a boring sod ??.

13.) 03 Oct 2023 11:53:14
Skegs so the only time it’s appropriate to use stats then, is when you use them to show how little possession we’ve had. and you’ll stick by it even though recent stats prove you wrong, ?.

14.) 03 Oct 2023 12:05:23
I hear some nonsense. We were attacking in the last game. Cooper set up to attack and we dominated the first 25 mins. It's the Prem, not League 1. There is another team in the game. Players get sent off, stuff happens. Football is not a one team game where you can just do what you like.

The other thing about the idea of just all out attack against the big teams is that sometimes you can ask the players to attack, but it is not possible? Why? Because teams like Man City, Man United, Arsenal have some of the best players in the world. Sometimes the other team are playing better, especially when they are at home. Even mid-table Prem clubs have fantastic players. They aren't going to lie down for 90 mins and let you just attack.

When "supporters" are calling for the boss to be sacked when a team has improved, is improving, and we are in the best place for 25 years, they are jokers or in cloud-cuckoo-land. I don't care which, to be honest. Nonsense is just nonsense.

We are building a team. They are improving. The last thing we need to do is go all out and get hammered like at the start of last season and destroy the player's confidence. Cooper is no fool.

Super Cooper! ??.

15.) 03 Oct 2023 13:01:36
Cyclist change the record have I've said before Cooper and mgw have both said its not the sort of football they want to play well show us the way you want us to play Mr Cooper and stop your excuses you've been backed 100 percent by the owner been given money for players no other manager has in forests history ??.

16.) 03 Oct 2023 14:21:55
Yes, it isn't the sort of football they want to play. But nobody - not even Man city - in the Prem gets to play they want to all the time. Every team wants to attack all the time. That's why your stuck record is total fantasy land.

30 Sep 2023 08:08:20
Looks like Sky and BT wan't more televised games, with four on a Sunday. The last one starting at 18:30, Travelling supporters, young fans who go to school and all the support staff needed at these matches, it's just greed by the clubs!. I hope if it happens they play in a empty stadium!.

barren

1.) 30 Sep 2023 08:43:40
Where have you seen this, barren?

2.) 30 Sep 2023 08:55:38
It was in the Nottingham post.

3.) 30 Sep 2023 08:56:37
And BBC sport.

4.) 30 Sep 2023 11:47:12
18.30 is earlier than midweek games. If 18.30 is too late, shouldn't we be moaning about midweek matches rather than weekend ones?

To be fair, you don't have to watch every game other teams play. They can only schedule your team to play 38 games. The actual truth is that we could play all 38 games at the same time as the other teams, but then you wouldn't get to watch much live football other than forest.

5.) 30 Sep 2023 12:33:23
Sunday is different from mid-week, transport is different for starters.

6.) 30 Sep 2023 14:03:21
Yes, it is an issue. I was hoping to get down to Stratford to see the match with the Hammers but the change to Sunday has blown that out the water! Bus instead of trains, etc. It would cost about £ 180 all in. The Saturday would have been easier. Long time since I've seen the lads live it was Portman Road when MON was in charge, the journey to Stratford is do-able for me - 90mins from Norwich and the ground close by. Three hour trip. Never mind.

7.) 30 Sep 2023 16:56:08
I forgot about trains etc. Today is a train strike, so you'd definitely be stuffed today.

27 Sep 2023 17:58:25
I thought there was a interesting game last night. The two sons of the best managers in football, going head to head Clough v Ferguson. And young Clough won, that's 12 games undefeated, his Old Man would be proud ??.

barren

1.) 27 Sep 2023 20:36:16
So pep guardiola is moaning that they haven't got a plane available to take them, back to manchester, its 142 mile journey by coach no trains either, jeez how the other half live eh!

2.) 27 Sep 2023 22:00:11

Yes JamesStevo, I agree, last season it was a wreck. If VAR didn't help us we was in a bigger mess. Hand balls, players being thrown to the ground, it was a disaster. I hope we have learnt from last season, fingers crossed!. And the players you mentioned was the biggest offenders!

Let's not be footballing snobs, we have a international goalkeeper out on loan. He's done very well at Luton, Ethan Horvath could do the job for us, plus he is 6" 4". in height. Don't discount because he's American!.

Bowie, I bow to people on this site who know more about music than me. But from the Hermit Hermits to to Cockney Rebel, to Squeeze, to Kate Bush I like all kind of music.
I have just noticed how artists from the past are making records, Agred from Abba, U 2, Rick Astley, Kylie, Madonna and the best, The Rolling Stones, when I listen to this song, I can not help imagineing Keith and Mike in a old folks home!. Bowie enjoy ?.

Someone posted about motd showing how we could have won, total insult to SC and Nottingham Forest. Why miss Toffolo?. They would not do that to a so called top team. Why not analize like they would to the top team's. Are we getting the same for how many cith missed yesterday?.
