Not posted since the last ( pointless) game of the season against Bolton because there hasn't really been much to talk aboput quite frankly but getting itchy fingers so I though it was time they had a bit of exercise.

I was considering a look back on my take of things last season but it could be summed up fairly quickly.

Things were going along reasonably well until 2nd Decenber with us drawing too many games but were not easy to beat but THAT interview from Mr Karanka was pretty well a precursor to all four wheels coming off and they never really went back on to be fair and that's pretty well it.

The departure today of Mr Keane , whilst a surprise, is of no real concern to me ( providing it is not an indication of trouble in the camp of which there appears no basis ) becasue hand on heart I was never really sure of what exactly his positon within the club structure was and if he wishes to pursue a position elsewhere then good luck to him .

Although it is the end of June there have as yet been no confirmed signings but the same can be said of many other teams as well but the Evening post ( will always be the Evening Post to me ) do seem to continue to link us with any number of players on an almost daily basis.

The talk of Lolley and Carvalho, possibly our most saleable assets , seems to have , for the moment gone cold and it is to be hoped that they both remain with us for Lolleys undoubted class and the chance for Carvalho after a season under his belt to cpme to the fore and realise his undoubted potential.

Personally I was a little suprised to see Soudani leave us because from what little I saw of him I thought him well capable of doing a job next season if not as a regular starter then certainly off the bench because we would I think all agree we are at present short in the striking department with the likes of Clough, Cummings etc unlikely to cut the mustard.

So with 31 days to kick off I have to say that AS THINGS STAND I am not viewing the upcoming season with the same eager anticipation as I did 12 months ago but there is time aplenty for all that to change and even if it doesn't I like you will still be there

At the moment all I can see is us getting the Dross out. only to get MORE Dross in!!!
Anyway I'm not letting it spoil my Hols!!

It's journos suggesting players who are dross, no deals yet confirmed. Let's wait and see what MON is up to.
