Just been reading we are in a race to sign Jamie Paterson ona freebie . like I posted yesterday if these players were still upto it the teams they are with would surely give them a new contract, what do you Guys think,

Agree1 Disagree0

Patterson would not want to play in such a defensive team as Hughton has got us, as you say if his club were happy with him he would be given a new contract.

Not at all he may not want to sign an new deal at Bristol City?
The club may not think he's worth the wages he I asking for
Not every free agent is dead and buried.
Maybe as its because he's nearly 30 god forbid which as some people think is ancient and over the hill for a professional footballer.

If his club thought Patterson was an integral part of the team because of his performances they would come to some sort of compromise unless his agent had already had another club, or clubs come in with hard offers of which he was asking of his club and he wanted to move.

Patterson has only played twenty times for Bristol City this term, so no thank you.

Definately no to me on Patterson and Britt. Get rid of Ameobi, Colback, Bachirou, Arter, Freeman, Grabban, Bong, Jenkinson, Murray, Dawson (coaching role), Sow possibly after medical review, Samba (too inconsistent) . Core of the team Worrall, Christie, McKenna, Mighten, Ribeiro, Blackett, Figgy, Taylor ) who will come good, Lolley if fitness proved, Yates, Garner back if possible, Johnson recalled, Cavalho get rid, Kronovic sign up, Knockeart get rid. That leaves a tight squad supplemented by hungry young prospects from the lower leagues. A lot of dead wood to go but emphasis on quality not quantity. Most of all reform the scouting recruitment side of things and actually see what the manager wants! 😡😡.

How many of us would have had David McGoldrick back. At 30 Ipswich packed him off and yet he's turned out to be one of Sheffield Uniteds players over the last 3 years scoring at a ratio of 1 in 4 including 2 seasons in Premier League. It's not always the age that's an issue it's knowing the player and getting the talent that's there out if him. That's what Peter Taylor used to do so well and something we need badly at this club.

Syred it is all about managers being too stubborn to play to players strengths because in their eyes only their way works so they ship players out.

Mother of God as everybody gone mad. Paterson, Mcgoaldrought, Assombawonga, move on for Christ sake no wonder we've spent 22 years in the wilderness. 🎈.

We have spent 22 years in the wilderness because fans have opinions about players. What have you been drinking.

22 years in the wilderness because of bad decisions by owners and board. Bad management and we sacked the best ones (O'Driscoll, O'Neil) . Don't blame fans for the tripe we get served up.
