Just read that mcguane might be sold of to Oxford which if so is a bad decision he's a decent young lad who could do a job for us but probably not get a chance to go do so.

He has been injured too much so i think it is the club wanting rid.

He's been injured once, sadly it ended his season loan at Oxford. Hopefully this rumour is not true, as he is quality, better than some of the current squad.

If you are injured and it finishes your term then you are out injured all of the while during the rest of the term, hence injured too much.

Ten small injuries, or one long term injury, it is too much.?

He's not really been outstanding at Oxford Utd, which is what you would want if you were hoping for him to be Championship-ready for next season. He's had some decent games but hasn't always had the impact you would like to see. Personally, not sure if he's ready to be relied upon next season, maybe as a squad player but, he's certainly not the superstar that some fans hope he will be. Doesn't seem aggressive enough to stamp his control on games at Champ/ League One level. Hope I'm wrong though 'cus he's a nice 'baller.

According to the Oxford boss McGuane has been key and they are not as consistent without him.

I reckon the key to whether McGuane will get a chance next season is partly with the future of other players. If we re-sign Garner and keep Artur then I think that McGuane will not get much football. If we move Artur on and can't get Garner then I'm fairly sure Hughton would want to take a look at him again pre-season and early season, before the loan/ transfer window closes.

Problem is mcguane is 22 and not a kid.
Fornah has done far better on loan he's 21now and should be good enough next season.
I don't think there is any chance man utd will loan garner out to a championship club next season, they will either use him or loan him to a premier club for the next step of his development.

79 why is it you are too old at 22 to be good enough in the future for the Championship but some players can carry on being quality players in the Championship in their 30's.?

Imo at 21 or 22 they should already have forced thir way into the first team squad half their career will be gone if we don't think they are ready till they are 25.

I agree with Ff79 that Fornah has been more impressive over at Plymouth. Again I think consistency has been an issue but a very similar player playing at least just as well in the same division.

Hopefully we'll see Brennan Johnson, Jordan Gabriel and one of Fornah or McGuane given plenty of opportunities next season.
