Good appointment just hope he gets a chance.

06 Oct 2020 19:01:42
Better than we've had recently. Good luck Chris!

Plays attacking football 4-3-3, knows the league and knows how to get a team promoted, what's not to like.
Eve 79 will be happy 🤔😂🤣.

06 Oct 2020 19:07:15
I’m extremely happy with this. I’d imagine we will go 3-4-3 or 4-3-3 under him. We might even go 4-4-2!

06 Oct 2020 19:18:58
Knows the league, and how to get teams promoted so that is good, but i think Brighton fans will argue that he gets teams to play attacking football.

He has got some decent players to work with, he need to make them mor confident and loosen the leash that has been wrapped tightly around them.

Good luck to him, and all of the players he chooses for the main squad.

Plays attacking football? From what I have read he is almost a copy of lamouchi, not tactically aware of how to change games, sticks with the same predictable style, even had his own players begging him to be more attacking in games, but it all hearsay, as he does have a good record of getting promotion so let’s hope he can do it here. Good luck to Sabri shame it did not work out when so close, maybe one day we will find out what happened.

06 Oct 2020 19:29:05
Hope he’s backed a little in signing a stellar signing at least a winger in. Then squad complete. I’d get us up with this squad. So I’m sure Chris will.

06 Oct 2020 19:44:03
Brighton sacked him because of his preference for playing one upfront. Won't change style of play even if we did get two forwards who might gel.

06 Oct 2020 19:50:10
He played 4:5:1 counter attacking at Brighton albeit in the Premier League. Where have we seen that before lol

I hope he did play 4:3:3 in the Championship. I can't remember.

FFS Monty, you've started it already.

He is a quality manager and has results in getting teams out of the league. Comes across as a real nice guy too.

Welcome Chris, good luck fella, hope you get us climbing the table.

Im ok with that appointment red dog.
TWF not many sides play 442 anymore.
Even one up can be attacking if the midfielders run beyond and support the striker.

06 Oct 2020 20:09:14
6-3-1 formation. FTW!

A stat worth sharing
Houghton managed 206 championship games, winning 108, drawing 60 and losing 38.
Average 1.86 points per game.
332 goals for and 190 against.
4 seasons in championship, finished 1st with Newcastle, 4th and 3rd with Birmingham and 2nd with Brighton.
Doesn't sound defensive to me and a little better than the drivel of late.
Onwards and upwards.

06 Oct 2020 22:14:36
Got a feeling he's going to need all the luck he can get as it won't be long before fans are picking negatives about him some are already.

06 Oct 2020 23:43:30
I hope you're right RedDog! Even if we don't win all the time initially, we have the players to play better more watchable footy than we've had forced on us.

It already feels like a cloud has lifted.

Not pleased the circus continues change again in a few more months there will be somone else as manager musical managers our club is a utter joke, just goes to show sabri didn't pick the players that was signed if he had signed he wdould have been given more time to get the players to gel.
On the appointment of huton no charcter and nothing special just another yes man should have been nigel so will fit right in at forest the nightmere continues.
But ill suppourt who ever is manager as i'm loyal to the great club that is NOTTINGHAM FOREST FC.

07 Oct 2020 09:37:38
He got longer than most at Forest, going from defensive to ultra defensive, and ripping the team apart that he got to seventh.

He wanted the sack, why else would a players leader do those things.?

07 Oct 2020 10:05:39
If Hughton gets results then I'm not going to complain about how he does it. But to get results quickly is going to be very hard. McKenna injured and now Arter missing Ireland games with thigh injury. If they are out for any length of time its going to be a tough ask.

07 Oct 2020 10:15:23
Damson red a bit of contradictory post, you start off by saying our club is an utter joke, and finish saying you’ll always support the great club that is Nottingham forest.

07 Oct 2020 12:52:30
Our club is a joke at the moment we hire and fire managers at a rate of knots the owners make our club a joke but Brian Clough put the club on the map and made it great for that the club will always be great to me don't know about you stevie f its the owners and so called footballers that make us a laughing stock.
FTID.
