Silva has left to go to Olympiakos and Cafu is set to join next week. I think someone said on the comments the other week that we are just a feeder club for our owners main priority! Well this transfer sums it all up!

Letting an attacking midfielder go in a swap for a defensive midfielder says it all.
Wasn't a big fan of Silva to be honest his final ball was very poor.
But now we only have freeman as a creative centre midfielder and about 6 or 7 defensive midfielders.

How are Forest a feeder club? All folks did was moan about Silva not being good enough, then when he leaves it's because Olympiakos are taking our best players? Behave.
Marinakis knows that getting Forest to the PL will be a bigger windfall than anything Olympiakos can make.

I'm not saying he's not inept or even a crook himself, ff79, he may well be both! But I do believe that Marinakis knows success at Forest is in his best interests and I do believe he'll do everything in his power to achieve that success.
We're not a feeder club or even a second club. Marinakis wants Forest in the PL to line his pockets like every other owner. Why would he risk that by taking from Forest to give to Olympiakos?

Wonky - good post about Silva.
One minute people are moaning about his ability, and now moaning he's leaving. He's good enough for the championship.
Early in the transfer window people are moaning we haven't made any signings, now we have too many.
I wonder if there is a 'baby bear' porridge/ amount of players everyone will be happy with, we can only hope.

Silva is no world-beater, Freeman is a more than adequate replacement. Same as Colback will be for Watson once he's played a few more games. No idea about Cafu but if he replaces Samba Sow then it won't be a bad thing as Sow looks no better than a clumsy oaf at the moment. There's no doubt the pressure is on Sabri but hitting the panic button (sack the manager) isn't necessary just yet. The quality of the football is dour but Sabri has been given one mission and one mission only - get the club in the Premier League. Marinakis will be well aware that the rewards for doing so are far more lucrative than anything the Greek Super League can offer - he won't prioritise Olympiacos over Forest.

That plan so far has been mass overhaul of the squad every six months and sacking coaches when it don't work?

Hes been lucky so far that he's had good young players to sell to pay for all his failures? but it won't last forever.
