Carl Jenkinson signed for undisclosed fee. Will take time for him to be totally fit, but will stop Cash making all those mistakes. Also he's over 6 feet tall - a bonus. Samba signing today, quick, agile, comes for crosses, so two problem areas addressed.
We have enough midfielders, and central defenders.
All we need is a stellar striker - not sure we will get one so that's still a problem.
Now we need to move all the deadwood out and get to a squad of 24 or so.
I always found as a Manager that shifting people out was always more difficult than bringing good people in.

Surprisingly Cash and Jenkinson are the same height and both decent in the air.
Jenkinson however offers far more security as a long term right back.

Fred what makes you say that, the more either get forward the more space the opposition have when our moves break down. Cash could offer more goals from that position once he has adapted to it.

This is a solid signing. There will be people here who argue otherwise but he's just as good as Byram, and he did a decent job for us when he was fit.

What makes me say what? That Jenkinson will be better at right back than Cash?
Cash was all over the shop against West Brom and looked anything but a right back.

Jenkinson has made 70 appearances in 8 season due to injury, wow should be a great addition.

I must say sorry to you Fred, I thought you said Jenkinson will offer more security in the long term as a right back.
The response you gave me you must have said Jenkinson offers more security at right back now.
Had you said in the long term then what makes you say that as Cash has hardly played at right back, and Sl must see something in him to put him there, so he can only get better.
