Caner Cavlan the Dutch fast and creative Left Back linked to us has let his contract run down, so is a free agent, if a report is true that both Oylmpicas, and Real Betis are also interested that will be our chances to sign him just about zero.

All the players mentioned in the past month or so are just journo speculation it's the worst time of year for this stuff. Most of the people mentioned in the press are too old in my opinion (not all) but Cavlan would be a good purchase, and I would think he'd jump at the chance to come rather than go elsewhere.

When you are looking for a quick fix to get promoted, and Forest are players that are quality in their thirties will be considered.
One of the problems with going down that route is they will more often than not refuse one and two year contracts with the club having a option for another year if they want to.
Giving players in their thirties, three, four, and five year contracts is not sensible.

LC Cavlan is 27 so what's the problem if he is good enough?

RIE, I did not say anything about Cavlan being too old or not good enough.
I was referring to bsereds reference to most of the players mentioned in the media being too old.
Do you think players in their thirties should be given three, four, and five year contracts just to get them to sign.
